Myself and R8R are in the early stages of double disc SAC classics mix similar to the SFC one we released earlier this year. We've got around 50 tracks picked out but looking for another 4 or so to add and I tought I'd save myself some time and go straight to fellow experts. We're sticking to CD releases for audio quality and because we've got a tape mix series in the works for the tape only stuff.

Here are the artists we've got covered so far:

BeGee
Big Hollis
Big O
Big Rel
Brotha Lynch Hung
Bukshot
C-Bo
CCH
Chill Bola
CRISIS
Darkside
D-Dubb
DJ Kat
Dosia (I know they are 2/3rds Fresno but have to include them)
Dubb Sak
Eight Ball Loc

Gangsta Dre
Gangsta Playaz
G-Macc
Hollow Tip
Homicide
Jackers
J-Killa
J-Mack
Junie
Kapital Boyz

I've left a handful of 90's artists off because they didn't have any tracks that really stood out to me. If any one out there has a track or two in mind that you think we should check-out please send me a www.zshare.net link. I'd love to hear your picks. Thank you in advance for all your help!

That same Buckshot is the one I'm talking about...He's from Kentucky
You're thinking of two different Bukshots. Dude out of Kentucky is white and this Bukshot from Sac is black...he passed away in '97. The track I'm using is his solo off M Sane's first release....he also appeared on Sub Zero's comp "Sacramento's Most Dangerous"....talks about Northside Sacramento over and over in all his stuff. They spell thier names different but I can't remember the exact difference off the top...I have 2 CD's from that Buckshot out of Kentucky.

Also, updating the artist list on the first post.

Sentenced....been waiting for your ass to slide thru....lol. You and Sippy are about the closest thing to Sacramento Rap Historians and I know you have seen and heard most everything released in the 90's. Didn't know Sick Pack has a track released on CD....gonna download this as soon as the DFM is done. Please take a look at my first post on this thread and see if I'm missing anything on that classic level. Right now trying hard to find a track that fits from the first A.P.N.L. & Da Da releases but it's hard....all good material but nothing great IMO. I've passed on a few others as well but know there is still more out there. Any input is much much appreciated! BTW...added some scans to the album cover thread the other day and added one with a question last night if you have a minute to check those out. Thanks man!
Man, I feel you, I didnt dig that APNL stuff at all. Da Da got some cool ones tho. Sticky Shit, Line Of Fire, and a bunch of others knock. You got it pretty much on lock man, you mentioned virtually everyone. Ima have to check your mix when its out.

Yeah....eventually decided on Da Da track. Sending you a PM about a few more titles I'd like to hear first before moving forward.

aaauw, i'm little bit disappointed with the selection of the sicx song. for example, crawl thru the hood, not cho average, one nigga dead and a few others are to me his best songs. one of the sickest verses by sicx was on the fu vol.1 compilation where he killed it on "thatz why they die".. anyway, jmo
