Type "skinny jeans" and "dirty south" into a search engine and see. Type in "Weezy" and "skinny jeans" and see what comes up. Then type in "dirty south" and "weezy" and take a look.

You do the math.

The emo kids you're talking about don't have shit to do with rap music.

There's even a video about it somewhere on worldstarhiphop.

Re: 15 year old Wayne.

Even I have to admit I like that Block is Hot album from back in the day. Maybe not much of it but a few songs got play.

Y'all fools are crazy. If tech and wayne do a track together so the fuck what? Its not gonna jump start or kill anyones career

IMO tech is at his peak right now. The fact that Wayne even knows who he is says a lot. He didn't have to say techs name but he did.
When tech did that track with Mims no one tripped and Mims had a decent fan base at the time.

One thing I hate is all the arm chair quarterbacks in his motherfucker. Everyone wants tech to do what they want him to do. Just let that man run his own million dollar empire by himself.

And I thought this was resolved already but FTI was a marketing strategy to sell future albums. Tech didn't like the industry at the time so he did what he did but make no mistakes Strange Music is a RECORD COMPANY. There gonna do what it takes to stay profitable and get that money.

I know Tech isn't gonna start doing Gospel if it becomes popular or anything but he collabs with Snoop or E 40 or whoever its gonna be his choice.

If he makes the "right" choice for you keep listening. If not siccness.net does have other forums and there's even a sign out button.

I don't consider Mims to be a silver spoon fagot.

Edit: And let me add, that Weezy and his music are everything I hate about commercial radio. He's overexposed, he's untalented, he's freakishly ugly (just thought I'd throw that in there)... I can't understand what the fucking guy is saying, and even if I could it wouldn't matter. He's talking, slowly, and hardly even bothers to rhyme. Flat out, the guy sucks. I'd rather listen to Kanye West. That's saying A LOT.

If that shit doesn't bother you, than that's fine. But Tech N9ne used to be an alternative to all of that bullshit. I'd hate to watch after all these years, him become a part of that same bullshit. I'm not saying the guy shouldn't go out and sell 10 million records, but he should do it on his own rather than use a bullshit artist to do it.

Yeah I know a TON of hardened "street niggas" that hang out on message boards. Tech N9ne has a predominantly white fanbase, and Weezy has a predominantly white FEMALE fanbase. So go back to your fake ass street and pretend to be hard there. If Weezy is the shit you want to hear Tech doing, enjoy your lollipops. That's real street shit.

And how are you going to say that people from the Dirty South don't wear skinny jeans?

The Dirty South STARTED that shit.
The Dirty South is about dickies, baggy Tees, grills, huge icy chains, and fitted caps bitch we did not start that shit. Niggas still wear throwback Jerseys and Jays down here. How about you send you actually visit The Dirty South before speaking on it. Gucci, Jeezy, flocka, UGK, Boosie, etc. is the shit we play down here. Country ass rap music, bass heavy beats for the whips what we are known for. The Southeast is the only region in rap right now that hasn't went completely gay likethe rest of the game. BMF, Hard In The Paint, and Lose My Mind are the hottest songs down here. Is that skinny jeans rap?

Bring your ass to Birmingham or Loiusnana and see how many skinny jeans niggas you see.

If Tech does a song with Wayne, that'll wrap up the decade of Tech I've been listening to. Tech might as well start walking around with a fake guitar that he never plays.
This really makes you sound like one of those 17 year old indie/hipster/emo kids who doesn't listen to anything that plays on the radio...because it is playing on the radio.

Not a good look.

I'm the guy with the Gaga sig who just stood up for Justin Bieber.

Not a good point.

Are you suggesting I should like Weezy now? All of a sudden because this guy said the name "Tech N9ne" I should give him some respect?

I never thought FTI was on some "fuck the mainstream" type stuff. It wasn't about opposition to a particular sound or particular content, even if his sound/content was different then (and still now, albeit apparently not enough in some folks' eyes).

It was about the INDUSTRY. It was about an INDUSTRY where you can count the number of record companies that control 80% of what is produced on ONE HAND. An INDUSTRY were said record companies stick it to struggling starving artists. An INDUSTRY where two companies own half of the radio stations in the united states. An INDUSTRY where program managers determine radio playlists and DJs have less and less say-so when it comes to breaking new artists. An INDUSTRY where payola is common practice and songs released by artists/record companies who are willing to pay top dollar - not the best sounding or most creative songs - are the ones that are most likely to be heard.

I'll reserve judgment on any Tech/Weezy collabo until, y'know, I've actually heard it.

Not in the least. I've downloaded and deleted far more Lil Wayne songs than ones I've kept. I understand the dislike (though I think he has a sound/style that could compliment Tech's pretty well if it were some kind of anthem/hardcore/rock kind of song).

I'm saying that I don't and never have followed the logic of disliking an artist (Tech) for simply working with an artist you don't like. If I did follow that logic, I'd have quit listening to Tech 7/8/9/? years ago when he first worked with ICP.

I don't give too much of a fuck about the FTI thing.

I just think Wayne is THE spokesperson for wack rap, and shitty radio. His shit is garbage.

And comparing ICP to Wayne just doesn't do it for me. ICP is a gimmick rap act. Wayne is out there like he's a real rapper. And actually, I think that ICP has given more to music in general that any Little Wayne bullshit. ICP made their own name.

The chorus to a Tech/Wayne song is going to go like this:

Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
Drums
Bass
Guitar
Bitches
Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
Rock and Roll
::mumble mumble mumble mumble::

I think the FTI movement has changed from Fuck The Industry to I will not pay anyone to play my video or song on the radio but go ahead if you want to.

If Tech and Wayne are going to do a song together then I hope its on Waynes album and not Techs

Skinny jeans are everywhere, dude. Don't even act like you hold the pass to The South.

I got friends in mid-Arkansas that rap some sick shit, but they're just as much on skinny jeans and flannel shirts as anybody else.

Yelawolf is gaining celebrity seemingly overnight despite me listening to him for years, but guess what he's rocking soetimes??? Skinny jeans, neon colored Ray Ban's, pocket chains, trucker hats.

And he's from ALABAMA.

Honestly, I don't give a fuck what you're wearing as long as you can rap your ass off. I'm not buying the music for the clothes they wear.

And for the record, East Coast back packers started the skinny jeans movement in hip-hop. It was when Wayne started doing it did it take off.

This. Wayne actually used to be pretty decent in my opinion. I stopped listening to him right after Carter II. Though I think the first Carter was his peak. I think he needs to get Gillie back.
i used to love wayne, i had probably 95% of all the material he ever released on mixtapes and album. then right after TC2 he started sucking terribly and i hate him almost as much as i hate jay-z. which is almost as much as i hate kanye.

i dont see any of the shit you're talking about anymore. everybody has on faggot cloths here. the only exception is sometimes i see a black guy with his shorts sagging so low his belt is around his knees and the shorts go past his shoes. i dont see tall tees, grills or dickies anymore. everybody used to wear that. fitted hats are everywhere now tho, they have a huge selection in Pac Sun and the girls that work they wear em...so your argument is invalid.
