I Wayne raps like he did on Carter II or any albums before that it could be a dope track. Hopefully it would be a single so that way Wayne's ppl would pay the radio stations to pump tech through the speakers.

I didn't know anyone on here felt the same way about Carter II n back...though I haven't bumped it in a while though.

I love how all of a sudden everyone's like "it's a great thing for Tech... blah blah"... But if I had brought it up on the open forum a week ago you'd have been like "Fuck Lil' Wayne".

If Tech does a song with Wayne, that'll wrap up the decade of Tech I've been listening to. Tech might as well start walking around with a fake guitar that he never plays.

Promotion....only reason why Tech should remotely jump on anything that involves Wayne's dumbass. Regardless...I highly doubt the track would be impressive. Wayne would suck ass and Tech couldn't go hard on his verse. I've seen it before...Listen to Knock 'Em Out. If he went easy for Bizarre's ass...I KNOW he won't kill Wayne on his own shit...which would obviously be disappointing since anybody/everybody knows Tech would kill Wayne on any day.

This. Wayne actually used to be pretty decent in my opinion. I stopped listening to him right after Carter II. Though I think the first Carter was his peak. I think he needs to get Gillie back.

In Tech's shoe's... I'd only do the song, if I respected Wayne as an artist...

If it comes down to a money situation, and he were to do it only as bridge to get to the next level, he'd be going back on all the shit he's talked about...
You do realize all the god AWFUL rappers Tech has collaborated with, right?

Anyone who thinks he shouldn't do this is just being moronic. Saying as if Tech has only collaborated with the greatest rappers in his past.

"I'm cool with him doing a song with Killa C or Big B but Lil Wayne, NO WAY MAN!"

:cheeky:

Sure Lil Wayne represents a lot of what is wrong with mainstream hip hop today but the dude also has skill. We're not talking about T-Pain here, we're talking about a dude who's an actual quality rapper when he wants to be.

If you look at it from an exposure point of view it makes more than enough sense for Tech to try to be on a Lil Wayne album. The Carter III has sold over 3.2 million copies in the United States. With Wayne being locked up now the Carter IV is going to be in high demand once he gets out and Tech having a verse on the album would be huge. Wayne even got a rock album to go gold the guy sells albums regardless of how good the content is.

How could Tech say no to all those potential buyers of his music? This is Tech's way into the mainstream. Hopefully the track ends up being on a Wayne album and not a Tech album. Having millions of people looking up Tech's music is a good thing.

You do realize more than likely theres a 99% chance your not going to get your wish right? Tech has made 3 songs about fans like you, "Last Sad Song", "Harvey Dent", and "Need More Angels". Tech blatantly said in that faygoluvers interview "Fuck you muthafuckers who say I'm going mainstream, the mainstream going me muthafucka"

Its not 02' anymore get over the "FTI" days. And Wayne may be overrated, but hes better than at least 80% of the no name rappers Tech has collaborated with such as the Popper, Money Hungery, Riv Locc, Chelli, Grave Plott, High Po4mance, etc. I dont' think you realize all the HORRIBLE rappers Tech has collaborated with over the years.

You just sound bitter and ignorant as fuck!

Shouldn't you be posting on trt9.com?

It's not ignorance. It's Tech being a hypocrite. I don't give a fuck about the songs you're talking about. I can name more songs with Tech calling the industry bitch, if you want to have a pissing contest about it. Go take another sip of the kool-aid.

And if you think that Little fucking Wayne is better than 80% of the people Tech has collaborated with, you're a faggot. Pull up your skinny jeans, I don't swing that way.

And on a real note, if that's the direction Tech wants to go with his music, then I'm just no longer interested in what he's up to. Go get money. You just won't be getting mine. He doesn't give a fuck. I know that. But when the basis of the beginning of your career was being different from the commercial bullshit forced down our throats, and a whole album based around "Fuck the Industry"... Why should I pretend to understand the current direction Strange is going in?

And Re: FTI was in '02...

It was 2010 when I asked Tech what he thinks about the FTI campaign now, and he said he's still all about FTI and stands by what he did in 02. Kick rocks.

I can see your adamant on your views on this so there's no point in me wasting time in making an 20 sentence response to your aggravated and aggressive post(s). And I'm not about to act like the "Baddest Muthafucka Alive" with you behind keyboards with you either. You may do it, but since I'm a nigga that shit is wack to me. We got the streets for that.

At the end of the day Tech and Strange have showed in 2010 the direction they're going in is completely the opposite of what you want them to go in. You either accept that or quit fucking with new Strange releases.

P.S. I'm from The Dirty South we don't wear skinny jeans down here. So take your ignorant ass judging somewhere else.

Yeah I know a TON of hardened "street niggas" that hang out on message boards. Tech N9ne has a predominantly white fanbase, and Weezy has a predominantly white FEMALE fanbase. So go back to your fake ass street and pretend to be hard there. If Weezy is the shit you want to hear Tech doing, enjoy your lollipops. That's real street shit.

And how are you going to say that people from the Dirty South don't wear skinny jeans?

The Dirty South STARTED that shit.

LOL! How did the south start the skinny jeans? I thought it came from all those hipster/scene/emo faggots that listened to rap for the novelty and then somehow thought B.I.G. relates to them. That's been my experience with the skinny jeans and rap anyway.

Any collab with lil wayne will be fucking gay. The dude puts so much faggotry in his songs. He's a programmed rap star, and I sense no soul in any of his delivery.

if you still think that "tech n9ne isnt going mainstream, the mainstream is going tech n9ne" you need to take a few more listens to GMP then get bacc to me....

The sad part about Lil Wayne is tha fact that he was better @ 15 than he is right now.....If he gets Gillie to come bacc and write all his rhymes for him again maybe this song could have a chance....
