thats news to me about kid frost. but anyway im not saying that there werent latinos in the beginning of hip hop im sure there were, but being a rapper or listener from the south and dissing nortenos for acting "too black" is hypocritical. it seems people seem to ignore the fact that northern california is not the only place where latinos are influenced by black culture. go to houston,texas its the same shit. go to miami where a lot of latinos,whether cuban,mexican or nicaraguan, are influenced by black culture. not to mention new york, but anyway my point is that it seems to me that southern cali is the only place where fools have to be straight up mexican. if you wanna get a gold grill, why the fuck not get one?if you think its a good look,then fuck it.

If southern Mexicans take part in hip hop (a black inner city art movement) as far as the music (rapping, producing, Djing, etc.), hip hop grafitti, the dances, etc., whats wrong with Northern Mexicans takin it a step further and dressing hip hop and going a little bit further? I hardly hear Southern Mexicans talkin bad about the numerous Mexicans in So.cal who "act white" -into skating, metal, punk, that goth shit, etc., why is that?

I think what homie was tryna say is that hiphop STARTED out as black culture and is predominatly is black but it spread to other cultures like latinos whites and asians.
