except he made a horrible move for his career. instead of potentially being one of the all time greats like bird, magic and jordan. his only potential now is to be the next pippen.

AT THE END OF THE DAY PIPPEN HAD A GREAT CAREER AND MADE IT TO THE BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME.. IM SURE THATS NOT WHAT PEOPLE HAD IN MIND FOR LEBRON BUT WHATS DONE IS DONE. WE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO SIT BACK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

now Larry Bird is gettin in the mix.

"That's why we have free agency," he told Dakich. "When you get an opportunity to get an open market, anything can happen. I'm like a lot of people. I'd like to have seen LeBron stay in Cleveland but his desire was to go play with some great players and try to win championships. You've got to do what's best for yourself. He's a very, very talented young man, a great basketball player and he wanted to go play with Wade and Bosh. He had the ability to do that and he did it.

"They'll be a great team but it's no guarantee they're going to win it next year."

I remember hearing on I think it was NBA fastbreak or something on ESPN that David Stern might consider having the season opener game of Miami vs Cleveland.

he did what HE WANTS for HIS career

he has to realize he's not gonna be THE MAN in Miami... but he's gonna win more rings... and that's what HE cares about for HIS career

why should he care what YOU think is best for HIS career?

being the man in Cleveland and possibly winning no rings? or sharing the spotlight in Miami and possibly winning multiple rings?

he chose what HE wants

i'm seriously debating on flying in to cleveland when they play miami. lol
That game is going to be epic.
the game is gonna be terrible... because it's gonna be a blowout

you guys will see how horrible Cleveland will be this year... and it will prove how shitty Lebron's supporting cast was

I bet you they don't even make the playoffs

I don't think they'll be that bad man. They won't win 60+ games but that team isn't that bad. But by all means, they should suck, they just lost the league's MVP. Hickson is a good young player. They'll probably have chips on their shoulder and they're going to have it out for LeBron.

Security is going to be deep when LeBron returns to Cleveland.

this is what I wanna know, why is that nobody ever says anything when teams cut players?

nobody ever cares about teams being "disloyal" to players... and it happens all the time

people just look at it like, it's a business, and the team is doing what's best for them to win

why is it different when a player decides to cut ties with a team

example: LT played his ass off for the Chargers for years, he gave a lot to that city... had a good relationship with the fans, etc... but the team knew they weren't likely gonna win a ring with him as their starting RB... so they moved in a new direction... no problem... all good, right?

it's business...
This is a completely different situation...the backlash Lebron is getting speaks for itself.

The example of an old ass beat up LT is WAY different than Lebron in his prime. Teams don't cut players in their prime...especially after they win back to back MVP's.

Lebron is the self proclaimed "Chosen 1", The "King". He has his Jesus Christ pose hanging on buildings. He said he was gonna bring a ring to Cleveland and NOT go ring chasing.

You can't do all that and then just quit...especially when you are doing it to your home town on an hour long self-love fest speaking in third-person.

That's what really makes it over the top, as if it wasn't already.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING MY POINT!!!

teams cut players when they're not getting the job done... Lebron left his team, because they were not getting the job done

what's the fucking difference?

you're saying teams can be "disloyal" but players can't

GTFOH!

I DON'T AGREE WITH YOU!!!

And no...I'm not saying teams can be "disloyal". In fact...I never used those words anywhere. Do you see where I said that?

I've explained the differences...no use in going over it again.

the statement I quoted helped argue the point I was trying to make

if you fail to comprehend it... go back and read again

It may have helped...to you.

You speak of comprehension, but you quote me as saying things I didn't say.

No sense in going back and forth anymore...you see nothing wrong with what he did...that's cool.

okay.. let me break this down to you again... hopefully you'll get it this time...

you say is Lebron is disloyal, correct?

he left his team to give himself a better chance to win

his team didn't step it up enough, therefore they did not give him the best chance to win, so he put himself in what he felt was the best chance for him to win

now...

if a certain player is not stepping it up enough, thus not putting the team in the best position to win... there is a good chance the team will cut that player

you seem to think that is acceptable

therefore it's a double standard

I use the LT example because he played in SD for years... that team was close to winning a ring last year... but SD just said, ok... we're not gonna win a ring with you at RB... so we're done with you

Lebron was in Cleveland for his whole career... that team was close to winning a championship... but Lebron said, ok... I'm gonna win a ring with this team... so I'm done with you

see how it's the same situation, but the roles are reversed?

get it now?

he played there for 7 years think he knew he wasnt gonna win and wanted a better situation since no one wants to go to cleveland he wasnt gonna get past the magic or celtics with the same team he had last year
