Actually I watched Thor for the last time at theatre, I watched it with my friends and that was so good. I like the story and the main actor, because he is so smart.

In regard to The Tree of Life:

really? i didnt like it too much and usually i love movies like this. the cinematography was the best i've scene in a while and the visuals were truly amazing. but take that away and you have an average story about an average family. my opinion though and i didnt hate it by any means, i'm just happy i only DLed it instead of dropping 20 on the bluray.
As much as I liked it I really can't argue with that. Because what you've said is pretty much on point. In the end I think it boils down to how much of your imagination, emotion, etc. it was able to capture. I will say that I was slightly disappointed with the finished pruduct; however, my expectations were completely through the roof, so that was kind of expected. There were points in the film that I felt were borderline awkward and others just amazing. I could never in good conscience recommend this movie to anyone unless I absolutely know they have a similar taste to mine, but I really did like the movie.

Just got back from seeing Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and might just go back next week to see it again, thats how good it was. EVERYONE in this was spot on with there acting. The infamous scene most people know about was pretty fucking brutal but nothing was more creepier than another scene i didnt expect to be so weirded out by. Rooney Mara as of right now gets my vote for best actress and this might even take home best picture, it will take home best director no doubt. so i ended out the year of seeing movies in theatres perfect with Drive and now this. i give it an easy 9.5/10 on my 1st viewing but like every fincher film since Se7en you have to watch it multiple times to really appreciate it.

i think Fincher will get snubbed again like he did last year. no way was Tom Hopper the better director last year, nor was The Kings Speech the best picture

The Darkest Hour sucked balls.

Really cool concept that suffered from some flat acting, numerous plotholes, bad CG, stupid looking aliens, and a horribly underwhelming and poorly written ending.

Emile Hirsch is always entertaining, but there was no salvaging the movie after what I can only imagine was an editor who had no idea to keep parts of plot that were desirable to achieve a solid narrative.

3/10

If my girlfriend hadn't bought my ticket, it would be a 1/10, but it holds a small amount of emotional significance to me, so you get a few extra points. This is essentially another Skyline, only Skyline blew this one out of the water.
