Ron Paul: Liberty Defined, that shits HELLA interesting. I advise anybody to go get yourself a copy and enlighten yourself on whats goin on and also the only honest man running for president in 2012 who is for us and not special interest groups, getting rich, etc etc
I'm about half way through right now. Got caught up in homework and had to set it aside.
It's been a great read so far.

The book is better than the movie. Great book, hella funny. All about drugs, if that's your thing. Also check out The rum diary by the same author. Movie just came out with depp too.

Reading this right now, 4 more books in the series. Idk why I decided to read this but books like this appeal to me. Decided to take a break from reading Stephen King. I actually havent read The stand. Thats next.

I always read a book when I'm on the shitter, best place to read. last one I finished was The Sandman Companion by Hy Bender. This is a must read for all fans of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. right now I'm about halfway into Down and Out in Paris and London by Orwell. So far it's really good and should be put up there with 1984 and Animal Farm. Orwell recounts the times he spent living in poverty and gives good insight into the life of people who are down and out.

I read Orwell's "down and out in Paris and London" a few months back. Real grimey shit! Loved it it was kinda short though. My favorite location was when he was working in the parisian kitchen, he really gave a potent look of what goes down behind doors in the restaurant biz. LOL how many times did he have to pawn his clothes in that book?

So we should just stick to the candidates who want more war and more spending?
Not at all. I think all these candidates suck balls, as does every politician. And in theory, Ron Paul is as on point as it gets. But he does say things like along the lines of the pharmaceutical business regulating themselves b/c american's are smart enough to know what drugs they take or that there shouldn't be safety regulations on car companies b/c american will just know what car is safer. Business' dont give a shit about the consumer, and some regulation is needed.

I agree to an extent.
Consumers should be more responsible for the products they purchase.
If a company is shady, don't buy their shit.
I know that some people are idiots and will anyways but that's how it should work.

For instance, I hate the Koch brothers so when I get my paper products I make sure I'm not buying Georgia-Pacific products.

Those regulations cost the small business owner money that he doesn't have. Corporations have the kind of money to pay for these regulations, therefore, they prosper and the small business gets shut down.

It's part of the reason Wal-Mart and Starbucks destroyed everybody.

What small business' are choked by regulations? the regulatory practices i'm concerned about are pharmaceutics, automotive, air traffic. Regulations that are in place to protect people from shady business practices, that put profits over consumers. I'm pretty sure there are no mom and pop stores manufacturing car's or pain killers

Also recently read Josh Hamiltons biography, that was pretty good, a little too preachy but good. Also read Lethal by Sandra Brown, it was a good one too
