The stand is a great book. I wasn't a huge fan of how it ended but maybe it was just I don't want it to end..? I also read IT and that book was like 1100 pages or suffa. Passed like a week readin that!!

The last novel I can remember reading not in jail was white oleander and it was spectacular

I see IT when I got out and it followed the book better than I expected. There's like a 3 or 5 part movie of the stand too. I been tryin to watch it but so far only caught bits n pieces. I dig king. The amount of detail he writes with can be exhausting to read tho

Ummm I think it was playboy... Wait, umm hustler! No wait a minute, it was penthouse I think..... Lol.

But for real, How was that BMF book? Shit looks kinda good. I'm curious to read it now.
Its def. a good read. For this being her first book, Mara did an excellent job. The premise of the book is basically he and his brother Terry ("Southwest T") comin' up in Southwest Detroit. They start out sellin' $50 bags of crack and would eventually opt for mutliple kilos of cocaine, which is what they became synonymous.

Without givin' too much of it away, it moreless describes the lifestyle that was afforded to them via the cocaine trade. A lifestyle which brought with it a lot of attention, primarily from the FEDS. I'll let you read the book for yourself so you can see how it turns out.

I always read a book when I'm on the shitter, best place to read. last one I finished was The Sandman Companion by Hy Bender. This is a must read for all fans of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. right now I'm about halfway into Down and Out in Paris and London by Orwell. So far it's really good and should be put up there with 1984 and Animal Farm. Orwell recounts the times he spent living in poverty and gives good insight into the life of people who are down and out.
