What was the last book you read? What made you want to read that particular book? Would you recommend this book to others to read?

BMF: The Rise and Fall of Big Meech and the Black Mafia Family

I found out about the book via Facebook. Someone took a pic of the book and posted it. From there, I felt like I wanted to read it. I read the book, then saw the Gangland episode. As soon as I opened the book, I couldn't put it down. It didn't take long to read (2 days). I would recommend it if you're into biographies/crime/drama or what have you.

i just read full dark no stars by king. it was good the third story was fuckin bunk. i ordered mein keimpf on ebay waiting for it to show up. i'm no white supremacist but i think an autobiography by the most evil guy in modern history might be interesting. please save "you're a racist." i'm not.

I'm just about to finish "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer. It's pretty awesome, if you're into Christian self help type stuff. I'm reading it with a group. I'd recommend.

The last book I finished though was "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Josh Foer. About how the author went from being a regular dude, to winning the US Memory tournament. He gives his story and describes how to improve your memory. It was pretty interesting but nothing I'd say you need to run out and buy. I've always been fascinated with super intelligence/memory so as soon as I heard about the book I went and picked it up.

Been had it read. Read it back in '99. My only real gripe with the book was that he'd say OVERSTAND/OVERSTOOD instead of UNDERSTAND/UNDERSTOOD. Maybe that's just the way he talks.
i talk a lot different than i write. i only write shit on napkins but i think i use perty good grammar like perty. my problem with the book was he knew how much of a piece of shit he was, but he still blamed it on how he was raised. he regretted everything he did, but was in some weird way proud of it. it just didn't make sense to me. i know the dude wasn't a genius, but sometimes just let your name speak for itself because that shit was fucked. when i put it down i learned absolutely nothing i couldn't have watched in an hour on the history channel.

What kinds of books do you like to read?

I guess you could say I am a born again Christian. I've gotten pretty serious about it the last few months so I really dig Christian books. I know what you're saying though. I sometimes catch myself getting really into something and thinking damn, a couple years ago I would have thought this shit was so corny. Shit changes though.
