Kutt Calhoun - Red Headed Step-Child EP 8/9/11

I used to hate on Kutt because of BLEVE... I still hate that album. Raw & Un-Kutt (title doesn't make sense to me) I listened to twice and I'm sure there's one or two good songs on there... lol.

But Kutty is cool in my book. That Flamez mixtape is a fav of mine.

raw and unkutt is about cocaine, meaning the cocaine is pure which is what the album's vibe was suppose to be like pure kutt calhoun although i didnt get that vibe from it what so ever

Flamez mixtape is far and away his best work. Everything else has been boo-boo IMHO.

Why do artists bother recording albums anymore? Given iTunes leading the charge in the "A la cart" business model, perhaps they should just go into the studio and do a couple songs anytime they got some ideas and throw them up on the internet the next day? I mean... LPs are so last decade.

Without Strange Music releasing EPs we wouldn't classic songs like Pain Killer, Last Sad Song, Alucard, Immortal, All By My Lonely. We wouldn't get new music as much as we do now. I think its a great way for the artists to keep the hype up with fresh new material, the fans don't get board, and Strange prolly makes a killing on the profit margin of the EPs. Think about it in the last year and a half or so, we got KOD 2 eps, and all 6's and 7's. and klusterfuck a few weeks away. that's 2 full albums in 2 years and if you add the eps thats 3 full albums in 2 years. not to mention the collabs and mixtapes...what other artists pump out that much material?

I really hope Strange continues the EPs year in and year out.

Speaking of which, what the fuck is going on with No Filler?

I agree on 2 things here:

-Genius is one of THE best Strange albums released Period!

-Feature Presentation is my favorite Kutt album. Out of them all, Raw... is actually my least fave (I'd put Flamez over that).

Speaking of features, he kill them. Honestly none of Kutt's solos really has heavy replay value with me, but the talent and dopeness is there. That said, I do think alot of folks would be good getting their Calhoun fix via a hot 16 from another artist's track here and there.

I honestly think ur smoking crack to say GENIUS is the best album that strange put out n to me KUTT is a dope ass mc hands down for you to say it don't heavy rotation is nonsense the red headed step child is a dope ep by far from KUTT I can sit n listen to that shit through n thorugh without skipping a track idk to me BLOODY KUTTY is the dopest mc signed to strange its just sad that they don't promote his shit as gud as they do the other artist
