Even with Krizz at second, I feel that even he's not getting enough promo or press.

I personally think Krizz get's more than enough press but doesn't have the appeal to push units like Kutt, or BLH. Not saying he can't make money, because he's a very gifted artist, but sadly image plays a big part of sales/hype and I don't think that transfers over well for him.

How is BLH more appealing than Krizz?

He's sold more albums, had collaborations with bigger artists, and probably is more well known than Krizz Kalico. I'm not trying to down-grade Krizz's ability, or talent, but his albums haven't made much of an impact. His niche is perfect on Strange as-in doing hooks, and features, but as a solo artist he hasn't really put anything together that's going to grab a large mass of people. This is all just my personal opinion though.

These reasons alone make BLH LESS marketable. He's old at this point, he pretty much has all the fans that he will get. Krizz Kaliko is extremely talented and has the ability to make an actual hit song.

Oh well, either way, i will continue to listen to both of them.

I don't really agree personally, you can look at youtube for example and see that a BLH video will get a lot more plays than something Krizz puts out. Also, darker music is huge over-seas right now, and almost has a cult following. I'll still listen to both artists as well, but more people will listen to BLH because they know his name... he's more of an established artist.

BLH videos have been on Youtube since Al Gore invented the internet though. And he probably gets more "look at this weird nonsense" plays than "Check out this decent song" plays that Kali would get.

Kali is a musical artist, and BLH is a one note gimmick rapper.

Both sides could be argued on that, everyone has their own opinion. I was just stating that BLH has more reach, in terms of sales, than Krizz. That goes for merchandise, albums, and tickets.

Genius was a great fucking album though, one of the best Strange put out, just good music front to back IMO. Shock Treatment fucking sucked balls. Lynch's albums have just been mediocre, some GREAT songs, not so great albums as a whole.

ON TOPIC - Was a bit let down with Raw & Unkutt, some good shit on there, but BLEVE and Feature Presentation were great. Kutt should get more promo then he does. Krizz had songs all over the radio here, and Tech has billboards fucking EVERYWHERE atm. When Kutt's shit drops all I see is a few posters stuck to light posts. Krizz has had two well shot high quality looking videos, and Kutt only got that cheap looking Naked and Bunk Rock..

It's an opinionated topic, so yes, it can be argued from the other side. :cheeky:

Just wanted to throw this out there...

BLH on Strange, with two album has done around 45,000-50,000 albums sold. That's with less promotion than Tech and Krizz, and I believe he has still outsold Krizz when it comes to albums. This of course isn't the whole picture, as Kali does hooks, and helps Tech on tour, but as a solo artist his talent doesn't transmit to the same sales figures as a BLH. I would guess the same could be said for merchandise. Either way, I'm still a fan of both artists.

Ok... So you tell me your side (why Kaliko is a gimmick rapper) and I'll give you my side (why he's not a gimmick rapper) and we can finish this.

Your volley.

Unless you know Krizz personally, anything he talks about in his music could be contrived and fictional. This would make him a gimmick rapper because he's not being himself, he's playing a part. That's if you take things completely in the most literal sense. I don't do that though. He's a very talented artist.

That's not what I was talking about though, I bolded too much of your statement. You said Lynch was only a gimmick rapper, which I disagree with. A lot of horrorcore is looked at "gimmicky", and I would agree with some of that, but people fail to see that it's not always about concrete situations. A lot of it has to do with things that go on in our minds... the taboo subjects we don't talk about. Brotha Lynch Hung is one of the many rap artists to open the doors on these subjects.

So I guess everyone that raps is a gimmick rapper.

Touche... But... For example... the mask.

That's not a gimmick? That's his whole image.
