Krizz Kaliko - Genius

I know some Strange music lover is going to throw an internet D battery at my grill but fuck it, both Genius and Vitiligo disappointed the shit outta me. I expected more from Vitiligo and thought it was going to show it's dirty face on Genius, but nope. Kaliko got skills but these albums are collecting dust right now at the pad.
and on matics production.... and so called dick riding.
i listened to the album maybe about 10 times through without knowing the production credits on the album. and no question about it..... my fav songs were genius, doe doe, so high, bipolar. NOW I realize matic produced most of my favs on the album....
i aint tryin to give anyone props which arent deserved... but damn... matic definately fits in with the new sound of strange music

5300, put him at 85 on the billboard list. la coka sold 5400 and put them at 84.

"Genius" is missing IQ points...
I feel that "Genius" fell way short of it's title.
"Chip On My Shoulder" sets it off so promising, (the E-40 flip was "genius") but after a few listens the album falls flat.
"Butt Naked Fun," "Back Pack," "Love You 2 Death," and "She'll Do" are similar subject matter (dealing with women mostly) related tracks that are repetitive filler. After a while they just suck to listen to.
The real brilliant moments are few and far between. Tech singing on "Get Off" was dope. He channeled some Bone for that one. "The Chemical" with it's rock edge was ill, "Doe Doe" had an almost nonsensical hook, but overall was a solid track. "Bipolar" was brilliant, wish it was a little more 'bipolar' like the beat or his flow would change right in the middle, (that would of been better) but it's one of the better tracks. "So High" was ill, the hook reminds me of a song I can't place... and the definite Gnarls Barkley-esque "Misunderstood" and "Choir Boy" we're done very nicely.
Who else thinks Tech's flows on "Hum Drum" and "Happy Birthday" are sloppy and misdirected? Understandable on "Happy Birthday." The idea? "Rap like you're drunk..." Ok... good idea! Poorly executed. (BTW Kutt almost blew tech away on "So High") and "Hum Drum" what the fuck is that? Rap like a Bushwhacker fuck? IDK, maybe I'm being too judgemental but "Genius" should have been retitled. Except for that E-40 flip, there was really no part on the whole fuckin' album that made me say "Oh Shit!!!!!" and hit the rewind button.
Fuck singing most of the damn album too, get other (non-strange related) guest appearances (Cee-lo would've been a nice fit, since that's clearly what Krizz was going for and OUTKAST of course) and make a real "OH MY GOD THIS IS A GENIUS ALBUM" I love Kaliko but this album sucked royal dick compared to "Vitiligo" and that entire album blew in comparison to one song that didn't even make that album... "Buku"

Alright so I gave a copy of Genius to this dude that lives upstairs from me, he has never heard of Krizz Kaliko n only knows some of Tech from the Regime shit.
Needless to say hes completely blown away from this album, he just now bought himself a copy and gave me mine back he liked it so much
Strange hasnt really been pushing this album like they should/can are they?
