so... hes definitely going to the east coast. I can see new jersey packaging a few players to get him.. Including Kidd and Carter.

The Knicks? I would say their payroll is already WAAAY to high, but thats apparently not a concern of theirs.

Pistons? no way...

Cavs wont let go of james... and they have no one else for kobe.

You really gotta look at teams with superstars that are somewhat struggling.

Kobe is a bitch and this show how SELFISH he is.

First he runs shaq outta LA. Then he cant win by himself so he wants to leave now.

I say Kobe gets the KG treatment and say he's stuck their for the rest of that contract.

boston, atlanta, new jersey, chicago, memphis, toronto, or milwaukee would be my best bets
As far as Boston, Atlanta, and Memphis are concerned, he wants to win now, and they aren't as close as he wants to be. I would also rule out Milwaukee. If the Bulls threw in Ben Wallace, it wouldn't make sense, because he is the only double digit rebounder we have, and Thomas isn't ready to be the man down low.

Bryant has stated repeatedly in the past that he was a Lakers' fan since childhood, and wanted to be a Laker for life. But the O'Neal matter and his feeling of being misled by Buss appear have changed things.

"The fact of the matter is that many people don't know what really went down when I was approaching free agency because I have stayed quiet about it this whole time," Bryant wrote on his Web site. "The real facts are that Dr. Buss requested a meeting with me during the '04 season long before I opted out of my contract, and he told me he had already decided not to extend Shaq, as he was concerned about Shaq's age, fitness and contract demands.

"Dr. Buss made it clear that his decision was final, his mind was made up, and no matter what I decided to do with free agency, he was still going to move Shaq."

O'Neal said on the Philadelphia Inquirer's Web site he believed Bryant "100 percent."
i guess after owner j.buss got busted on tuesday for dui, kobe realized lakers are being run by dumbfucks.

Shaq even admitted to Stephen A. Smith a number of times that it wasn't Kobe, it was Buss who ran him out.
Philly Inquirer:

Kobe Bryant was furious with the Lakers after reading that a "team source" intimated in Tuesday's Los Angeles Times that he was the reason Shaquille O'Neal was traded.

The Lakers' owner, Jerry Buss, "called a meeting with me after he spoke with Jim Gray [of ESPN] to talk with him about Shaq's future in the middle of the 2004 season," Bryant said yesterday.

"He met with me at the Four Seasons Hotel here across from Fashion Island, which is now the Island Hotel," Bryant said. "I went up to his penthouse suite. [Buss] looks me dead in the face and says: 'Kobe, I am not going to re-sign Shaq. I am not about to pay him $30 million a year or $80 million over three years. No way in hell. I feel like he's getting older. His body is breaking down, and I don't want to pay that money to him when I can get value for him right now rather than wait. This is my decision. It's independent of you. My mind is made up. It doesn't matter to me what you do in free agency because I do not want to pay [Shaq], period.' "

"Dr. Buss said that," Bryant said. "And I haven't said anything for years because I've always felt like folks were just looking to create controversy. Now I know. I realize what extent [the Lakers] will go to, to cover themselves."

"I believe Kobe 100 percent," said O'Neal, reached yesterday while in Los Angeles on business. "Absolutely. There's no doubt in my mind Kobe is telling the truth. I believe him a thousand percent. I would have respected Dr. Buss more as a man if he would have told me that himself, because I know he said it. But he didn't [tell me]. He never said a damn word to me."

Anyway, I can see him in NY or CHI. CHI has the better options, they also hold the #9 pick in this upcoming big draft.

KOBE TO THE HEAT... SHAQ N KOBE REUNITED HAHA JK
actually this wouldnt be that far fetched, I could see this happening and D Wade coming to the Lakers. With the comments Shaq made about what Kobe said about Shaq leaving LA, Shaq sure sounded like he wanted to play with Kobe.

Chicago would have too give up too much, I dont see that happening. They got a good thing going on there, there jus one move away but not Kobe type move, they would have to dismantle the whole team for that.

Knicks, Memphis, Celtics might be a possibility

nah man, in an interview Kobe said that he didnt have anything to do with Shaq leaving. He wanted Shaq to stay but Buss didnt want no part of Shaq.

In response Shaq said he believes Kobe 100%, Kobe would never want to get rid of him and that hes sure that Buss had everything to do with him leaving.

I dont kno, sounds to me like these two want to get back together and win another championship...

I posted the article a few posts above...

Oh please. Don't act like there was no turmoil between the 2, are you kidding me? Kobe calling Shaq fat, and their breakdown in the finals against detroit? LMAO at you believing Kobe would want to play with Shaq and was content if Shaq stayed. Did you not know Kobe was going to bolt in free agency if Shaq stayed? He said he had already considered CHI, and loved the area and already chose a house etc. Also being a Clipper was something he greatly considered. Then SHaq is gone, he stays, no surprise. That's gotta tell you he doesn't want to play with shaq...Come on now.
