Finally a heavyweight unification match. Tight that it's at MSG, I'm sure it will sell out no problem.

6′ 2″
76" reach

Wladimir Klitschko

Klitschko 238, Ibragimov 219

First heavyweight unification title fight since 1999. IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko weighed 238 and WBO heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov scaled in at 219 during a special Thursday weigh-in ceremony at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Sultan is going down and going down hard. Sultan got floored by Ray Austin and left that fight with a draw. Wlad hits Sultans chin before Sultan even gets close to him and knocks him out early. Wlad KO in the 5th.

.. also with Peter/Maskaev coming up .. the HW division is getting fairly interesting once again.

If only Wlad had his brothers chin, he'd be unstoppable. So you might be right on that gamble.

But I wouldn't bet on it. Wlad has seemed to have mastered the jab, which is by far the best jab in the HW division. I just see him using his huge reach/height advantage this time and just jab at Sultan for the first quarter of the fight, then start to let loose the right.

Wlad KO 10th round

Yeah I've heard rumors on a boxing site that he's fighting soon. I think he's like 49. lol. I also read he will be fighting someone in their 50's. I doubt it will ever get sanctioned though. No way.

I also said on a different site that the last time I saw him fight was against James Toney and he looked old as fuck then and that was like 1993.

Odds are really nice if you like Sultan:

Wladimir Klitschko: -400
Sultan Ibragimov: +330

Or
Ibragimov wins inside distance (TKO, KO, RSF, DQ): +500

Ibragimov wins by 12 rnd decision: +1200

Shit, you could drop $50 on Sultan just for the fuck of it to win by KO and you'll win $250, or if decision you'd win $600 for the same bet. lol

I hope Wlad wins because I think it would be better for boxing, imo. He's the only real stand out fighter at this point, I think if he wins this fight, then he should be able to unify all the belts (FINALLY!), which is great for the sport because there will only be ONE true Heavy Weight Champ of the world.

Also, I'm glad this fight is at Madison Square Garden and I heard it sold out, which is a good sign of rising popularity of some of these soviet fighters.

Klitschko will dominate with his jab and then ko Ibragimov in the 6th round. Ibragimov fast and all, but Klitschko just better, stronger, and bigger...

Wlad 9th round KO...

He knows how to use his height advantage, and jab...better than any heavyweight in the division. That Conan clip was hella funny. I've always like Wlad, especially when he put a beating on Lennox.

That was his brother, Vitali. But your right, he probably would have won if it wasn't for those fucked up cuts. Lennox straight up retired after that fight cuz he knew he wouldn't win the rematch. Great fight
