Not this shit again?

to the everyday normal citizen without a badge...

Badge holder: I can kill you and get away with it

Non-Badge holder: I can kill you and the system will give me 25+ years in prison..

end of story ..

he'll be living in the Tahoe area or Oregon....maybe Utah..

Nothing happened to that dude in prison. He was a cop...he probably sat in his own cell 23 hours a day away from general pop, with special treatment because he held a badge at one point.

And yea, nobody is going to do shit when he gets out. Folks might burn their own neighborhoods down since most don't know in which direction they should point their anger and frustration.

I have said from day one, on that video to ME it looks genuinely like he shot him on accident. Its sad to see Oscar Grant gone. I feel for his family but I do not believe that cop shot him on purpose to kill him.

He never walked the yard. He was 23/1 for his 2 years. His life is ruined. Case closed.

I dont think he shot him on purpose either, but I think he had the gun out on purpose, I dont think you can mistake a pistol for a stungun. And that coupled with Grant being handcuffed, thats negligence with a gun enhancement IMO...They had the oppurtunity to take a stand with him, and send a message that authority figures arent goin to walk on stuff like this anymore, IMO 5 years for 3rd degree murder, +4 years gun enhancement, then - time served and good behavior. But just letting him essentially walk like this is enraging...

...Not trying to start a whole argument/tangent though, just my 2 cents.

Its one of those things that further proves the judicial system is a joke..

what pisses me off even more is that had this been you or me, we'd be sitting in that cell for the next 10 years.

Oscar knew people, he wasnt a "nobody", dude better never even come with in 1000 miles of Oakland again, Im not gonna say he shot dude on purpose, but you shake your child, and it dies, your not getting two fucking years, you drunk drive and kill somebody, your not getting two years, you street race, and kill somebody, not two years, its a fucking joke, that facts that people will shoot a John Lennon, or MLK, beautiful souls who touched humanity, but this pile will never get his, makes me fucking sick.

His pig buddies who tried to grab peoples phones away, as the train left all should have gotten two years for evidence tampering. I pray that his child gets a education with her money she gets, and starts a cycle of his whole branch of grand children, and great grandchildren doing good for themselfs.

hahah heres a comment from some white guy on LA TIMES....

Career criminal gets into a fight on BART. Resists arrest. Is still struggling even though he's down on the ground. Officer made a mistake, but responsibility rests primarily on Oscar Grant. If he hadn't been involved in a fight and had not resisted arrest, he'd still be alive today. In jail maybe but alive. Message should be clear-don't be a crook, and don't fight with the police. Stuff happens. Meanwhile Oakland PD and LAPD need to be ready for more rioting animals who will also fight with police and then claim brutality. Idiots.

heres another comment he left

Like I said, Grant was a career criminal with outstanding warrants and he was known to be violent. The cop's actions were an unfortunate mistake in the heat of the fight, not anything pre-meditated. Bottom line is Grant put himself in that situation and Grant's death means one less piece of garbage repeat offender on the streets to rob, rape and murder us law abiding types. Race has nothing to do with it, and society is better off. Win-win.

Truth be told, after the Rodney riots no cop can get a fair trial in California anyway. If you've seen the entire Rodney video, the cops were losing-and badly! It wasn't until more officers got involved they eventually rendered the scene secure. Of course the media rarely shows the entire tape, only the end where Rodney's getting pummeled. Don't forget the original trial found the cops not guilty. Then we had the riots, and DOUBLE JEOPARDY trial of the cops who went to jail to appease a bunch of racists.

And now with B. Hussein O.b.a.m.a. in the white house it wouldn't surprise me if this BART cop has his own double jeopardy sham trial.

The "justice system" is a joke.
