Exactly and u were wrong!! I never said u ate your words!! I just clowned your team, and u cause u thought Ko-Me was gonna do it, but we all know they now need Payton & Malone to get back to that level!! Haha!! GOT EM!!!
You eating your words is not something you have to agree to doing, or admit to doing. It is a term for when people say something and it backfires on them. That is what is happening here. I showed you all the shit you talked about Schmidt and now it's starting to come back at you weather you like it or not. It hasn't happened yet because the season isn't over, but it doesnt matter weather you admit to having eatin your words, it's not decided by you, it's something that just happens, sorry pal.

but as for Jason Schmidt being cy young...i dont think so...although im loving how hes the starting pitcher for the all star game! i think russ ortiz is a better pitcher, he has what 12 wins i thnk?
Russ Ortiz does have 12 wins, but you have to remember
wins are not the primary focal point when deciding who gets the Cy Young award. Have you ever heard of "run support"? Wins are definatley a major catagory to consider, but much more plays into it then just how many wins you have. Wins are decided partially (I would say atleast half) by your offense, which doesn't say much about you because you are a defensive player. For example, look at Hideo Nomo, he has an ERA of 2.85, yet he has accumulated 8 losses. That is because he has a very poor offense to back him up, how can he ever win a game if his team doesnt score points for him? So should this automatically exclude him from winning the award.. because he has a shitty offense? Look at every other catagory, you will see why Schmidt is the front runner and the starter for the NL All-Star squad. This entire ordeal about Schmidt has went from a single person on a message board stating his opinion, to an starting All-Star appearance, and analyst's declaring him the mid-season Cy Young winner. Needless to say, theres something you guys must be over-looking.

Exactly sco! I remember nitro sayin that trading away Ortiz was coo, cause he wasnt as good!! Look at Moss's weak ass, and Ortiz is doin his shit in Atlanta!! Just think if they still had Schmidt and Ortiz!! GOT EM!!!
Exactly what? I never said trading Ortiz was a good idea, I said I would rather have Schmidt then Ortiz and I feel the same. Ortiz is not as good as Schmidt on the mound, and thats all there is to it. If he was, then you would see his ass starting at the big game getting all the Cy-Young talk and not blowing games in the world series like last year. If they had Schmidt and Ortiz, they would be tearing teams in half.

IM GLAD I AINT THE ONLY ONE THAT RECOGNIZES ORTIZ IS BETTER THEN SCHMIDT, NITRO TRIED TO THROW STATS OF THEM 2 LAST SEASON WHEN I SAID ORTIZ IS THE BETTER PITCHER
I didn't "try" to throw statistics out there, I DID throw them out, and not you, nor did anyone else have a damn thing to say after that. The numbers I showed were more then enough to prove my point, and it became silent in that thread.

I HAD MORE FAITH IN ORTIZ LAST YEAR THEN I DID SCHMIDT AND IT ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE TRUE LAST SEASON
How did it seem to be true? Explain. It may have SEEMED that way to you, but it simply wasn't. Let me break it down for you real nice here. Last year, Ortiz finished 14-10, Schmidt 13-8. Schmidt had a lower ERA, more strikeouts, and less walks. In the post season, same applied. Ortiz 2-0, Schmidt 2-1. Schmidt had 29 strikeouts, 8 walks. Ortiz, 13 strikeouts, 13 walks. Here is your chance to reply to these statistics that im "trying" to throw at you guys, tell me in detail how Ortiz was a better pitcher last year, or this year. Let's try steering away from "well it seemed as though..", come with some hard facts and prove me wrong.
