Same here, as a Latino male. To see an African-American as the president of the united states means a lot to me, if Obama can do it. A Latino/Latina can be the a president as well, change has come and thanks to everyone that finally got up and voted for him.
Kind of off-subject, but I will never consider myself a ''latino''...this has been beaten to death, I know that. But listening to a news anchor on ABC refer to the ''cuban latinos'' was a laugh.

I would support a Mexican-American candidate just as much as a Cuban-American candidate, but I would NOT feel a surge of pride or claim him as my own if he was president.

With that said, I am glad to see a black man as our president, because what it DOES show is that American's can select who they truly believe is the best candidate, regardless of skin color.

But holy shit...McCain is getting his dick sucked seriously by these news anchors. Poor McCain...great speech, heartfelt, kudos to him, what a great job, great campaign, McCain is so classy (rofl)...

LDS....many knew Bush was an idiot from the start, but those that voted didn't see past his dark shadow. Finally after 8 years of bullshit and government abuse, the change has come...

So, who's at fault for that? A Ketchup fucker and a tit sucker, who both signed their allegiances to an elitist, world controlling fraternity. Was there a better choice?

it's a landslide. There will be no bickering about the legitimacy of this presidency, as some republicans were hoping for.

I love just soaking it all in.

I'm not down on the man. I'm opening up for discussion as to WHAT KIND OF PRESIDENT he will be.
That's great; I apologize if I missed that. But I haven't seen anything positive in regards to him...

I guess I got the feeling, reading your posts, that you were anti-Obama.

BTW, a little information on my stance: I didn't vote for EITHER of them. Obama would probably get my vote, if I was forced to vote, but I chose not to.

I didn't vote for either one of them, as well. Obama's a good man, but to associate his personality and charisma at this point as him being a great president is extremely premature. George Bush is a good man, from what I've seen as an INDIVIDUAL, but he made terrible and deadly decisions as president with the help of advisors and other people whispering in his ears.

John McCain is an honorable man. That doesn't mean he would have been a good president, either.

LDS ...Bush's 2nd term, it was rigged and that's all I gotta say about that. Now enjoy the fact that the united states finally is back on track and change has come.

Democrat President Obama and 54 Democrats in the senate...

I can now sleep much better as of today...

LMFAO This thread only pertains to W because I dropped that in my post. Don't get my point twisted because I used the "American Disgrace" in it.

Honestly L.D.S. I don't even think now is the proper time to debate Obama's presidency. I think right now is such an extraordinary moment in American history. You have to just let it soak in, man.

There'll be plenty of time before 1/20/09 to talk about the direction he'll lead the country, debate the choices he picks for his cabinet, etc.
