Yo LyfeCentenz, I ain't Catholic, I'm Protestant and I don't care about the Vatican. It don't matter cause I ain't gonna watch the video anyway.
That ain't no disrespect to you either. I can't stand the trash that Bill Maher spits. The dude is a fag and a has nothing better to do than bash Conservatives and religion. I'm smart enough to make my own decisions and vote how I want. I don't need him telling me that I'm too stupid to understand why being a Progressive/Liberal is good and that Obama is the chosen one.
catholic, protestant, lutheran... shit don't matter i'm not talking about any specifics inside anything and neither is that dude in the video. I'm not trying to prove a point or change your mind or anything it doesn't matter at all i'm just discussing holding onto beliefs and mistaking them for some sort of ultimate absolute truth.
I don't care about the vatican either they can burn that motherfucker to the ground.
This is an all-encompassing discussion... these dualities of being-protestant or not-being-protestant need to be surpassed or looked at from an outside perspective to have this conversation work. You're coming at the conversation from a position still. I'm not giving any position.. not even no-position there's nothing wrong with taking a position this is simply like i said an all-encompassing discussion.
But liberal-conservative, religious/non-religious, pro-bill-maher/anti-bill-maher these are all just dualistic conceptual positions taken in opinion/belief.
What i was saying is cutting through the dogmatic belief system that creates separation/war/problems... but this can be applied to accepting-dogma/not-accepting-dogma as well so there's no where to land.
It's just how strong you attach to belief. You're not a conservative, or protestant inherently... these are concepts and beliefs you were attracted to for whatever reason and you've picked them up and adopted them. Taken them to be inherent truths.. and then you make a pseudo-reference point and judge others against that pseudo-reference point. And its all unreal! Or only as real as you make it... which means they have no all-encompassing omniscient existence that would warrant opposing others. The world is a bunch of people running around with ideas and beliefs and judging each other against those beliefs... its insane! Its fucking insanity.
I'm not saying don't believe.. or adopt some other belief system... i'm just saying TRULY see the belief for belief and the situation is disarmed.
And what the fuck do you mean you won't watch the video? What type of shit is that? It's 2 mins long and its not trying to convert you to some other belief. They're just people.... talking.... but because their beliefs don't match yours you push it away... the beliefs are dualistic concepts mirroring each other. You couldn't be a conservative/christian without someone else being a liberal/non-christian! And neither side is "right" or "wrong". Expand the point of view you're using. OUTSIDE THE BOX.
I'm beating my head against the wall at this point but i enjoy engaging discussion so it's no thing to me. Again, there's noting wrong with you being the way you are. But the world would be a much more relaxing place if people could just let others be. Which puts my foot in my mouth somewhat except for the fact i don't take myself too seriously.
