they do it friday and saturday from midnite to 1am
It doesn't even seem like Underground Heat lasts that long. Even with the commerical breaks, its 45-50 minutes, at best.

The Wire (90.1 KKFI) is damn near 4 hrs long (Midnight-4am). The time slot sucks, but considering that and UH and the only two outlets for local shit, there really isn't much goin' as far as showin' KC rappers radio support.

didnt even know about 90.1 the again i never listen to the radio
Yeah. I don't tune into 90.1 very often. Their format is community/talk radio, aside from The Wire. At least from what I can tell.

I think 90.1 was the first station where I actually heard a Rich the Factor song. It was "Collosal". Rich/MFR is pretty much in heavy rotation on UH though.

Cash Image & D-Locc Da Chop has gotten some rotation on 103, that's about the only local thing I've heard outside of Underground Heat.

I heard I'mma Playa once about a week after Absolute Power came out only because someone called me and told me that shit was on, I of course was in disbelief so had to hear with my own ears.
Anyways, I think It is a hell of a lot more of an accomplishment for Tech to be so widely known in the underground with out all the bullshit radio play and marketing.

Is that the radio station that just got the building at 39th and main? I think thats what it said on the outside of it.
That may be it. Thats the only 90.1 I know of. I stand corrected, it isn't all talk radio. They play otha shit too. I just listen to The Wire every so often. Haven't listened to the Show Me Mix Show in a minute.

Underground Heat is my shit though, at least for the time being.

he raps too fast for the average listener? Rap is so slow these days...so simple.
I have to say no.... I think the whole "backpack rap" thing is coming up right now and Tech just doesn't fit into that shit. It's just marketing bullshit. You could have easily "sang along" to Slacker, Bubble, even Like Yeah...

It must be so fucking cool to discover Tech right now... He's got so many great albums from today and back that you could bump Tech for the summer and hardly play the same song twice.

Plus running with ICP put him in the "no" column to a lot of mainstream press, I would imagine.

I don't think I've even heard a Tech N9ne song on Underground Heat.

No, scratch that. I do remember them playin' "P.A.S.E.O." Thats pretty much it. I know they've played Big Krizz Kaliko's "Do It Like I Do It" a gang of times. Same with " I'm That Figga" (Skatterman & Snug Brim). Haven't heard Kutt Calhoun on much (if at all). They play the fuck out some Rich the Factor/MFR shit, thats for damn sure.

I think the only reason Flo rida gets so much play is because of his hooks obviously "low", "right round", "in the ayer" no one listened to that shit for his rapping.

Oh and of course cus his record label drops the dough for the play..

Yup. Flo Rida's not even a terrible rapper, but no body listens to his songs for him, it's because he makes poppy ass songs with catchy hooks. And none of his hooks are him. Low was T-Pain.. Elevator was Timbaland.. In The Ayer was will.i.am.. Right Round: sample.. Sugar: sample.

Tech don't get play cause of the way the record industry is. Most of his music is radio friendly. Honestly, I wouldn't even expect songs like Like Yeah or Bout Ta Bubble be number one hits, but I think they could at least be played on radio and especially get some spins on MTV Jams.
