I don't think too many people these day deny Global warming.

The point that is up for 'debate' is if it is man made or natural (in a nut shell).

Seems quite real to me. Last year I think in April it snowed here. This year on Christmas day the fucking sun was out like it's alarm clock went off too early..

There are a lot of people who deny global warming. recently, there was a large group of scientist that did some type of protest in regards to global warming. If I can find the article I'll post it.

Edit: Read this. It isn't the one I originally read, but it provides more info and links.

Enough of this bullshit (same goes for the thread to begin with)

It is not time to debate whether things that have been known for decades are true, it is time to act. And we're not doing it.

I don't understand (well, I actually do, but it still should not be there) what such an article is doing on a governmental site. You should be very suspicious about such articles given the policy of the current/previous administration regarding climate change

Whether you like it or not, people disagree with global climate change...its a fact.

Some people view those who believe in climate change in the same light as those who believe in UFO's and 911's conspiracy theories. It is what it is.

IF YOUR LOOKING AT IT FROM STRANGE WEATHER PATTERNS OR NATURAL DISASTERS, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT THE CAUSE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO RESEARCH SOME HISTORY AND THOSE TYPES OF THISNGS HAVE OCCURED IN THE PAST IN PLACES WHERE YOU ARE NOT USE TO SEEING IT...THE FACT THAT THERE IS SUCH A BIG MOVEMENT FOR GLOBAL WARMING AWARENESS, I COULS ALSO BELEIVE HOW PEOPLE COULD BLOW THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION....

there is one big difference - none of those have an enormous body of sound scientific work behind them

According to your logic, we should take the Flat Earth Society and creationists seriously.

And isn't it interesting how the bigger the impact that certain scientific fact has on our lives, the more seriously we take the fringe opinions denying its existence?

Which those same people are claming are skewed and fradulous....you saw the link posted by HERESY.

Huh? What "logic" did i express? I merely told you that whether YOU like it or not, there ARE people out there that believe it NOT to be true, nothing more. That is not logic, its a fuckin FACT.

And isn't it interesting how the bigger the impact that certain scientific fact has on our lives, the more seriously we take the fringe opinions denying its existence?
If that were the "logic", then more people would beleive that 911 was a big sham put on by someone other than the ficiticious bunch named "Al-Quida"...

I think it's real. But I don't feel like explaining why besides saying that just because temperatures in some areas may not be hotter, ice that melts also creates colder ocean temperatures and that's where a lot of the weather systems form...so people who say it's not 10 degrees hotter every day should just go crawl under a rock and die. :)
