a little of both i guess i consider marino an elite qb because it was mainly him driving his team to win with very little help from anyone else, on the other hand eli had alot of help.
exactly and he hasnt been consistent yet, he was good in the playoffs no doubt but he also threw the most into's in the league. i mean ben rothlisberger won a title and i dont consider him elite either. i didnt even consider brady elite until we started our 3rd sb run then i realized he was something special because he was doing alot of hsit with little help on offense. if peyton were to lose sbxl then i would still consider him elite as well. i dunno but i think eli still has some things to prove for him to be elite. 1 sb ring isnt going to do it.

he went to the sb but never won it. and marino was elite and a much better QB than eli and anyone can see that. i mean if eli keeps the way he was playin the playoffs and bring it to next season then sb or not i'll consider it but it still wont be official until other defense have to game plan against him and defenses need to fear him which IMO no one does yet
shit jim kelly went 4 yrs in a row elite indeed imo but he never won a SB ring so he wont be the greatest and neither will marino greatness is measured on wins and championship in the end of the day nobody cares about stats like i said before nobody plays 15yrs to just win and never win the big game i bet marino and kelly will give back all there stats just for 1 bowl ring..

I agree with consistency.....but to be consistently good tho. Eli was plagued with picks.....that foo had a pick in every 2 minute drill he ran - EVERY ONE - until the playoff run....IMO Eli hella matured this year, but he needs at least 2 maybe 3 more winning seasons where he's the one winning games for them to be considered great, then we can start the "elite" discussions......

i think ur giving way to much credit to eli and no one else around him. eli played horrible all game until the last 2 drives. yes he shined in the big game but so did alot of other QB's that we wont mention for the simple fact they were never elite but strong for a season. thats the difference. it's been one season so i guess u can say he's a strong QB but to be elite u have to dominate the league for several years like peyton and brady do now. i mean trent dilfer fucking won a sb, would u consider him elite? i mean he may be elite cause he has a high potential but it's waaaaaay too eraly to call him elite specially when he did this only once and didnt really do it with the dominance an elite qb would do it. just have tio wait and see cause he has alot to prove

Im honestly shocked Eli pulled off the run he did, i thought he was a joke and choke artist especially in the playoffs. We was calling him she-li when the season started, i think hes actually gonna become an elite quarterback cuz of this, a lot of the pressure is gone now and hes proven to everyone and himself hes capable of playing mistake free football.
without question he proved me wrong and u'll be lying if u said he didnt prove u wrong cause no1 seen this kid coming in the playoffs. i will say it was him who got them to the SB without question and he did have a game winning drive to win the whole damn thing. but that dont make him elite. if u were to ask me i feel he will become an elite player but he isnt there yet and we'll see where he is at the end of this season and we'll see. i mean this was the 1st time in his career he played good and it was only for 1 month. he has alot more shit to do to become elite like be dominant again in the playoffs and it would help if he was like that in the reg season as well.
