trust man, i am not standing up in defense of religion. shit, i would be the last to defend the idea of a higher being..straight up.
i just dont see how people can blame an idea and not the hand behind the gun..i mean, do we really blame rap for hoes, gold chains and making it rain all the while being in tiny pants? no, its the idiots who want to mimic that idiot shit.

and yo I remember my older brother sayin to me"people who say they don't belive in god are fullashit,if a loved one or ya self was on there death bed they would all say a prayer,wether they said they didn't believe or not they would say dat shit"...gotta say I agree wid dat shit,I don't know what to believe and to be honest couldn't give a shit about religion and following a certain faith, I gives a fuck about all dat shit,no one knows what the truth is untill u dead and in a box...
I think your both right, religion brings out the worst in people because its something they are deeply connected to. Mainly because it brings them hope and a purpose, for that they will die and kill anyone who disagrees with what they believe is the truth.
I think its the same exact concept as a cop, they all don't intend on abusing their power but its something that plays in the role of their mindset. When they strap on their gun and badge to go to work they are expecting that some shit will go down and through the training they receive they are taught their safety is the highest concern and any "suspect" must be dealt with at whatever suspicion they conceive. Meaning they treat everyone like a suspect and always expect the worst in us. There is obviously alot of crooked ones but the training they receive plays a big role in how their reality becomes distorted.
I'm not one to disagree but a large portion of the bible indirectly glorifies war, as if to say kill anyone who fucks with the jews and jesus. Both police and religion are two great ideas when not corrupted, unforunately its a bent mindset people deeply embed in themselves.
