Arizona's law is damn near identical to the federal immigration law. Because the Federal government refuses to do anything about illegal immigration, the state reserves the right to enforce that law within its borders.

Do you honestly think this law is going to make the cops profile more than they already do? NO! Immigration law or not, they will profile..

but my post was aimed for those that been in the U.S. for 3-10+ years ...

extensive background check = housing documentation, employment, small traffic violations, etc ....

all that would be a start to pick the bad apples from obtaining legal documents..

well, if you're specifically picking out individuals who have been in the US for 3-10+ years it makes more sense for sure... I still think there's flaws... but it's a much stronger argument for sure

last time I checked...for the past 7-8 years illegal immigrants haven't been able to obtain medi-care/medi-cal... so how are they abusing it?

there's Private clinics that help out immigrants but those immigrants pay a small fee for their services...here's one La Clinica De La Raza (it's not just illegals)

one of my sisters works there and she says there's lots of low income families that come in there for medical help...legal and illegal.......

I haven't had health benefits for the past 4-5 years, I applied for Medi-Care, Medi-Cal ...and I have been denied.......and I'm a legal U.S. citizen....
