It's another distraction like gay marriage. Immigration isn't the problem we are facing today, there are dozens of problems at play that have this country in the state that it's in. This just causes more division with people who are most like us, in a time when we should unite with our fellow man. Everyone on this site is MUCH closer to being in the same boat as an illegal immigrant than they are to being a multi-billionaire CEO of the organizations that have controlling share of our currency. It's a non-issue really.

its simple, its not rocket science.

crack down on employers, and u end illegal immigration. Americans are giving them jobs and no one else. u will not solve illegal immigration with ridiculous laws like this.

this law violates the civil rights of hispanic-AMERICANS unfairly. thats why this law is stupid.

illegal immigration is wrong, but this law wont work.

best way to solve the problem....is to give those that are already here documents to work legally in the U.S., but in order to do that. Give them an extensive background check and those that don't pass it, send them back.

to me the Gov wants it the way it is or else they would have done something about it a long time ago....

I don't mind them being here but think they should not be allowed any type of government assistance if they are undocumented. Eventually they will go back. Also make stricter laws for those business owners that hire them for work. If that means I can't hire them any longer, I am ok with it.lol

how? by providing proof that they haven't been in trouble in the U.S.

remember, people that do get in trouble within our border. They do go in the FBI fingerprint database, it's not that hard to pick a bad apple from the rest of the good ones.

are you willing to work in a field for 14 hours making 9-12 a hour under crazy weather?

you don't even know how much it would hurt the U.S. if they were to get rid of many of those immigrants that work out in fields and so on...

that's one of the many reasons why the U.S. hasn't done shit about it....because they know it would cause a big problem in the agricultural field..

okay, but that's not taking into account any type of trouble they've been in before they were in the US

so if someone is 30 years old and they've been in the US for one month... and you're background check shows they've never been in trouble for the month they've been in the US, that's kind of irrelevant

I knew you'd throw that in the mix..

but my post was aimed for those that been in the U.S. for 3-10+ years ...

extensive background check = housing documentation, employment, small traffic violations, etc ....

all that would be a start to pick the bad apples from obtaining legal documents..
