It seems there are a significant amount of people that want to see our new President fail. Well, my advice to you, is get off of the sidelines and get on the field. Anybody can hate from the sideline, all you haters should log off your computers and find a Neo-Nazi group to support. Actions have always been more powerful than words. Because of the actions of President Obama, his words have dug deep into the psyche of the neanderthals that can't accept him as the leader of the United States of America. If you REALLY want to see Obama fail as President, DO SOMETHING about it. Whatever you can personally do to make the next four years miserable, DO IT. Otherwise, stay on the side and keep screaming boo at the winners.

If the reason you like Obama has nothing to do with his skin color as you stated in another thread, then why does someone's dislike of him necessarily have anything to do with his skin color?

The supporters get to like him as a person but the dissenters must dislike him for his skin color???

I would respect a person's opinion more if they admit that they dislike President Obama because of his skin color. Otherwise all this speculation of what he will and won't do is just that, speculation. I hate to use this cliche but, KEEP IT REAL. If you don't like the man because he is black, let it be known!!! Don't be a bitch about it.

How do you know what any of us do when we don't post on the sicc? How the hell could you possibly make the assumption that everyone is "on the sideline" not doing shit? How dumb do you have to be to jump to that conclusion? I've probably spent more time "doing shit" over all these years then you've even been aware of politics. You're just temporarily drunk off that obama juice which trust me it will fade and then you'll be back doing whatever dumb fuck shit you normally do.

Further, this is a place for members of the siccness to have discussions, thus "The Gathering of Minds." It's a place to agree, disagree, debate, share thoughts and opinions. No one is obligated to do ANYTHING simply because they hold an opinion on a certain matter. For example, I'm sure there are plenty of things in this world that you do not like or disagree with. But are you doing anything about that? What about the AIDS epidemic in Africa? I'm guessing you don't like that shit do you? Are you sending money? What are you doing about africa sir? Probably shit. So don't sit here and tell me or anyone else that we cannot express our opinions because really, it only makes you a hypocrite.

Obama is a very intelligent person,

what is he going to do for us?
i mean, he can tell a fancy speech and get us motivated
but at the end of the day, what the fuck is he really gonna do for us?
are the schools going to get better?
will we stopped getting pushed around by cops? will the ghettos be in a better living condition? will we finally get treated equally as whites?
people act like the shit is all better now, when we're still exactly in the same spot we've always been

so whats he going to do for "us"? i want to know

That's not the right question. The right question is, "What are you going to do for yourself?"

That's the wonderful thing about the United States of America, everyone is free to have their own opinion. But an opinion is what it is, a thought or attitude about a particular subject. It's obvious to me that you are a person that chooses to spend his life, standing up for his opinions. Well, in the real world, opinions don't make actions happen. Do something for yourself, and stop worrying about other people's opinions. I'm not responsible for you actions and you are not responsible for mines. AIDS and Africa seem to be on your mind today, what are YOU gonna do about that?????

The thing one should do if he wants Obama to fail is nothing. That's right. Just keep living the same way you have been living up to now and things can only go from bad to worse and worse

Again, how the fuck do you know what I do with my time? Like I said in the other thread, which you chose not to address, I do many things with my life and I've done a lot of things in my community to bring about change. But what's the point in telling you if you're just going to continue to ignore the points I make, bring up my post count and act as if no one has a life outside of an internet forum.

You're really annoying. You say to stop worrying about other people's opinions, and yet this entire thread is about you talking down on what other people are doing or not doing in their lives as well as their opinions. You're an idiot, plain & simple.

You saying i'm an idiot is your opinion. Thank you for sharing it. You still haven't DONE anything about me being an idiot. Trust, i won't be waiting for you to still do NOTHING. I do have a question for you. Are you still mad because no one ever chose you to play on their team at recess???? Try to express yourself without name-calling or cussing, since I'M the idiot.

Now that you've asked yourself, "what can i do for myself", what are you going to do for yourself?
Most people are in prison because they belong there. We don't have a choice of parents, so confused kids usually come from a confused home, fucked up neighborhoods, hell this is real life not The Cosby Show, mothers having to work countless hours in order to keep the bills payed, shouldv'e gotten a better education. President Obama is not some magic, miracle worker. He is just a man, trying to make the life better for his daughters. If you have kids, you should try to change your "welfare" thinking, into "self-improvement" mindset. The "welfare" mentality is what got America into the situation it is in now. People always trying to get something for nothing. That just doesn't work......

mocheez, just because you refuse deep analysis into the question of Obama, who he chose to place in power, the structure around which his power is built, and the historical and current precedent for the words and deeds of US presidents, does not mean make the rest of us are 'haters'.

It's all fine and dandy to believe in and support whoever you like. But refusal to dig deep or question the accepted wisdom is antithetical to the purpose for this message board.

So then it stands to reason that you MUST have disliked McCain because of his skin color...

You probably didn't even vote.....Dig deep, wisdom????? Never seen Wisdom, knowledge, or understanding on the Sicc. Just a lot of gossip and every once in a while a little info...I support ME. I've been doing fine in life b4 Obama, i will continue to do fine during Obama, and i'll be doing fine after Obama. I just want all these "so-called" intelligent people to stop trying to dissect President Obamas shortcomings, and just admit they are pissed, because we have a Black President. Stop being fake, oops I forgot this is the internet, you don't have to be real................

mocheezkc,

I'm curious. What actions have you taken personally (both in the pre-obama and post-obama era) to make a difference in the world?

No, I didn't support McCain because he is OLD....next question....

So it is not possible for someone to not support Obama because he is young?
