what could happen? What would anyone need that would require a stock pile of food and water stored?
A major earthquake is the only possible expanation, in my opinion. The only rational asumption I can come up with.
I heard on the radio that global warming increases the likelihood of earthquakes. Because when the polar caps melt, seas rise and the tectonic plates will or CAN be forced to shift, thus causing a earthquake.
So who knows when its going to happen but the West Coast is overdue for an earthquake.
Im not trying to be some conspiracy theorist, however I will say, just as it was inevitable for an attack on America, it is inevitable for a MAJOR earthquake to hit the westcoast somewhere on the Ring of Fire.
the bay area is due for an earthquake anyways....funny tho, I moved to the bay area in 1990, one year after the big one in the bay, and one year before the big one in so-cal....I was driving by frontage street (the street that runs alongside the 80 fwy) and started looking over at the water and started getting visions of the water rising....I forgot about this thread, but it had me realizing most of my first aid kits are either damn near empty or gone. I used to have one in my car (which is a good place to have one, think of how much time you spend in or nearby your car)
my main concern wasn't for me tho....I mean it peaked an interest into knowing why, but I was more concerned with the well being of my son. if something were to happen I'd risk everything trying to get to him and get him to safety. saying "stock up" doesn't really give me insight into what I need to keep him ok. I dont know where this would play in but isn't this the year for the return of el nino? If i remember correctly, the last time el nino was here was in 97, the year that Northern Cali had hella floods and whatnot..

El Nino is the warming of the water in the south pacific. Its affects are different depeding where you are. I know the winters here are hella warm when El Nino is happening. I think other areas in the southern hemisphere have the opposite effect like heavy rain in areas where it is usually desert...

Let me address a couple of points/posts that were made.

Now, if anything, it would make ME look suspect or like some AL-QAEDA operative when you consider all the "anti" establishment rhetoric that comes from rap music and the content on this site (including my views).
They don't have to take me seriously. That is the point. If they do not take me seriously and something happens to them that is on THEM. That is NOT my problem. Again, you are looking at what this site IS and the content on this site. I am looking at who and what I am, what the people are, and what they NEED to hear. If they can get death and destruction in the form of depraved music, or if they can geat death and destruction from their favorite artist posting on boards, surely they can get some encouragement or words of wisdom to prepare for something ahead.
Comrade, SHOULD I have to tell you WHY you need to get an emergency kit prepared? Shouldn't a person have one on hand? Now, what you're asking for is the reason (earthquake, fire, tornado, mass uprising etc), but as I said before this thread is NOT about me telling you what to do and why to do it because the majority WON'T do it anyway.
Bad analogy/example comrade. Throwing a sneaker out the bedroom is not detrimental to their lives (unless someone slips on it by mistake.) Do you see a BENEFIT in getting an emergency kit? I would hope so. Do you see a benefit from throwing a shoe out the window? Besides lessoning foot odor I would say no.
Comrade, a chem or nuke attack can cause trouble, but have you factored in the fact that if a chem or nuke attack happened in one area that it may be hard to get supplies etc from ANOTHER area? Is it far-fetched to assume or think that the supplies will not QUICKLY fly off the shelf (especially when people are displaced)?

What are the chances of some fantastic event happening to the three specific states at the same time or back to back? Again, in the past I was specific, and when I talked to people offline I was VERY specific and gave great detail. This however is something DIFFERENT, and when something happens, I won't hope up and say "I told you so", because I don't need the credit nor do I want it. For one, who are you to say that God neglected to tell me anything? How do you know that I didn't write letters to the government or warn family members in the area? Again, if this were another thread/topic I would demolish you, but I won't do that here because this is not the place. As far as your question about Bush and God, I would say Bush doesn't care about ANYONE except for RICH WHITE PEOPLE, but I would say that God is a JUST god and that he desires for people to live and choose life.
