LIKE ALL THE YANKEE FANS BORN AND RAISED IN SD .
WIN OR LOSE ... IM RIDIN' WITH THE HOME TEAM ...

Exactly, same here. Born and raised in Diego, Padres & Chargers all day, everyday.

All those fools that are born & raised in SD and jump the bandwagon of other teams can suck my dick. It's all about repping your city as well. That's what fools don't get.

A lot of peeps put mad energy in trying to rep SD or the WestCoast in the rap game, it's the same $hit with sports. Repping your city's teams will help put your city on the map just as if you try to rep your local rap artists. It shows the strength of your city.

Then you get a bunch of fools that throw on hats or jersey's just for fashion or for the purpose of displaying a letter for gang affiliation or nickname. I say fuck that. Like a Boston Redsox hat for the letter "B," Milwaukee Brewer's hat for the letter "M," Detroit Tigers for the letter "D,".... fuck that. My first impression is that you like that team or jock that city.

How did that happen though? I mean, I know there ain't no law saying you have to be down for your hometeam but how did you guys become Raider fans? U guys connected to the Oakland/Bay Area, the Los Angeles/Los Angeles County area or all those surrounding areas? Or just decided one day to root for the Silver and Black? Also, this goes for everybody, I'm curious to know how everybody came to be a fan of their sports teams. As for me, my dad got me into football and a Chargers fan. He came to San Diego in 1974 when he joined the Navy not knowing what the hell a football was. His shipmates thought him about the sport. He adopted the hometeam as his team because thats what was on locally on tv and radio. I was born in 1979 born and raised in San Diego. He thought me all about football and have always been with the hometeams.

Yeah u right about sports teams and gang affiliations. In Oxnard, The Dallas Cowboys used to hold their training camps there, so the Colonia Boys aka Co Boys adopted the "COwBOYS" gear. And there's a Filipino gang in Oxnard called Satanas (STS) and they adopted the New Orleans "SainTS" gear, even got the Saints logos tatted on them.

Question to you!! Were u a Packers fan before 1995??? I bet anything u were not.
been a fan since 1989...what you know about Tony Mandarich, Sterling Sharpe, Don Majikowski and Edgar Bennett

Realize guys I'm about to turn 30 and people that know me know I been down since we used to go against the lions in the wildcard and barry sanders used to run all over us.

The niggaz that play for the teams aint from SD and if the owners move the team to portland or where ever then what.... never was a charger fan....moved to sd when i was 3 family is from florida so they were mostly dolphins fans my dad is a cowboys fan and my grandpopz is a charger fan(he just goes with the home team cuz he used to live in the bay and root for the raiders and he converted when he moved down here) And with me being the oldest kid and the oldest cousin I didnt have a big brother pressuring me to like any particular team...so around 5th grade...I latched onto Sterling Sharpe as my favorite player and he played for the Pack and 2 seasons later Brett showed up and its been all good since

with basketball I'm a lakers fan but basketball is different because you have the same team on 3 nights a week so you realy dont get enough exposure of other teams like you do the nfl...with baseball i simply dont give a shit enough so I've never really had a team...i work closely with the padres so i tend to root for them now

I was born & raised in Cali but grew up a die hard Dolphins fan. I stopped rooting for the Dolphins in the mid 90's(& yes they still had a winning sqaud) cuz I liked too many different players from different teams. I just became a fan of the players & not the teams. Champ Bailey has been my fav player for the last 6-7 years. I don't root for the Broncos I roots for Champ. When he got traded from Washington to Denver I was still rooting for Champ & didn't have to change a beat just cuz he went to a different team.

OK guy. Let me give u some football history cuz I'm one hard ass nigga to challenge when it comes to this sport. Brett Favre didn't come in about 2 years after Sterling homie. Sterling was drafted out of S.Carolina in '88 & Brett was drafted 2 Atlanta(in the second round of a weak QB class in 91 & was traded 2 GB in like 92. I know that cuz I was a huge Terrell Buckley fan & GB drafted him in 92 out of FSU with like the 5th pick cuz Washington took Desmond Howard & that's who GB originally wanted.

Now u wanna talk about a bust then let's talk about Tony Mandarich who was almost as big as a bust as Ryan Leaf. Mandarich was drafted right after Troy Aikman & ahead of Barry Sanders & Deion Sanders. Dude ended up being soft as cheese & was delt away with the Colts. Don Majikowski? One good season & that's it!!!!! And this is shit I know off the top of my head. I didn't google none of this info.
