Hyphy is just getted started..

Amazing some say hyphy is dead..its barely gotten started. My boys the Fed Game are about to take the industry by storm. The 18 Dummy video is about to premiere on MTV 2 and BET, and the album is due out in a minute. And remember this phoney thread when The Feds go at least gold on the new banger. Flame away.. my opinion is what it is.

PEOPLE TURNED HYPHY INTO A GIMMICK AND GIMMICKS ALWAYS FALL OFF, i knew hyphy was gonna fall off, i never had any faith in it. And to the guy who said that "it takes time to drop albums" , we have been waiting for YELLOW BUS RIDER to come out for HELLA LONG already. The movements dead get over it. e-40 wont have another hit, no one likes keak outside the bay.

hyphy = get stupid/go dumb/thizz/stunna shadez/scraper/get stewie/(Insert stupid catch phrase here)/etc.....Almost Every single hyphy song out there is about the same ridiculous shit^^ and most of it sounds similar, i.e. simple, repetitive beat. Its gimmicky and its starting to get really old really fast. A whole bunch of bay artists hopped on the hyphy bandwagon and are running it all into the ground. Bay artists need to wake up and start making some quality music with SUBSTANCE. The bay is so diverse, bay rappers need to develop their OWN unique sound, whatever it may be... just my 2 cents

the movement is NOT dead. if the movement was dead then why are labels lookin out this way? and why is mentioned in almost every magazine? and why is it on Mtv and BET? and why is TVT and Lil Jon supportin it and puttin out a DVD about the movement? give it til the end of the year and see if the Hyphy Movement still stands. but for now, its too early to make a judgment.

I know, wtf? Niggas is talkin waaaay too early. It ain't even been 6 months yet. The Feds are gonna drop, Too Short is gonna drop, Yukmouth is gonna drop, F.A.B is gonna drop, and they might all do it around the same time. It only seems dead coz ain't nobody droppin albums left and right and getting videos on BET and MTV. That actually really does take time. I mean, hyphy might not blow, but it's too early to say either way, we haven't even gotten it started.

oh my thats a pretty bold statement to say young joc is better than most of the rappers in the bay..young joc don't even write his own shit and he is still garbage, but granted he is gettin money, and thats all he really cares about...
hyphy movement ain't dead, its just gettin started, once it gains a hit similar to lil john when he did bia bia, then its a wrap...the record execs know its gonna blow, why you think they gettin all this radio and video play...the record comapnies would not be wastin there money on a fad...to not like hyphy is one thing, but to say its dead or a fad is not true..my 2 cents...

This is the most on point reply in this thread. But nobody will listen becuase they are too busy defending wack music. The radio wont play diverse shit like Zion I or Heiro. They'd rather play, "Stunna shades, ride the whip yadadaboo boo blah blah blah blah" and the rest of that trash. Trust me the rest of the country looks at this shit as a lame joke. Unless the bay comes out with some diversity in the music aint shit about to pop off.
