Step my game up? Sorry man, I get paid once every three months for school, can't afford all three at the moment, especially when one costs the same as the other two combined, and has the same games.

Stop whining about hardware, I've seen plenty of sites and reports saying the 360 is the more powerful system, like I said, don't believe everything Sony is trying to shove down yor throat. Go to Gametrailers.com and look at some of the side by side comparisons of PS3 and 360 versions of the same game, the PS3 can't do anti-aliasing,has a slower framrate, and has horrible textures. It's easy to see the 360 version looks better and runs smoother.

I can't comprehend why people would pay $600 for a video game system. In some places that's like a months rent. I would NEVER fucking buy that shit for my kids.

lol this is stupid. all this system loyalty. just get the best shit for the best price, fuck whatever company made it. Wii is pretty much its own thing, cant really compare it to 360 and ps3, but out of those 2, 360 is the better system and it has a better price. If you cant see that by now, you're just dicklickin.

The Blu-Ray HD-DVD battle has just begun, but there is little to no interest in either format for now, so this point is moot for the time being. I will say that seeing as how I have no need for HD movies, I don't like being forced to buy a blu-ray player with the PS3. I prefer the option of buying one seperately with the 360, if I decide I ever need it.
You can be sure that if the PS3 takes off, blu-ray has a serious foot in the format-war door. Blu-ray disks are superior in every way to HD-DVD with one exception - price. The widespread ownership of PS3 consoles will result in far higher blu-ray disk sales than HD-DVD ones, reducing their production costs significantly. Sony was damn smart to equip the PS3 with a blu-ray player, they've definitely taken the lead in the format war. You can be sure that when you do end up buying one, it will cost a hell of a lot more than the $200 you would spend as extra for the PS3 (that is, unless you wait until 2015 to get one!)

Exactly. The first games for every system are shit. Give it time and eventually script writers will have the ability to exploit the full power of the PS3 and will produce some brilliant games. I probably won't buy a PS3 until the end of the year (it hasn't been released in Australia yet). That should give it enough time for the release of good games and for Sony to work all the bugs out of the system.

i keep having deja vu to when ps2 came out after the dreamcast was released for a year. remember how ps2 graphics werent what i expected and thought i wasted my money on a $300 system.

not saying its going to happen that way or i even want it to...but still funny to see people clinging to their systems and being quick to diss the ps3 which has been out a grand total of 2 months and has like 15 games.

takes time people. last time i checked it took the 360 a whole year to get their killer app (gears). cause there really wasnt much worth a damn outside of good lookin ports from other platforms before the last couple months. i didnt buy a 360 till the made games that worth my time. thats why when gears and rainbow dropped i had my 360 that same week. same will go for ps3. the moment they make some worthwhile games i will have one soon after.

i love my 360 and wii as much as the next person. but to want to dismiss the ps3 based on price, and a handful of sub par launch titles is a little much.

That argument does not work. The PS3 was delayed an entire year, 360 games and PS3 games have had the same amount of time for development. Gears and Resistance started production the same week, within days of eachother, and look how much better Gears looks, let alone how much better it plays. Gears of War could not be done on PS3, because of the insane textures in that game, PS3 can't do textures for shit, and can't even do anti aliasing. 360 has twice the RAM to do textures and everything else it needs.

And for the Blue Ray argument, I do not have now, and do not plan to buy anytime soon, a HDTV, why should I be forced to have a Blue ray player with my PS3, when I can't even use it? I do not have a wireless broadband connection, why should I be forced by Sony to buy one to use it with my PS3? Hell, my Wii is right next to my cable modem, and I can't use it online because I don't have a wifi connection.

youre putting way too much on blu ray. blu ray and hd dvd can be compared to dvd audio discs and super audio discs. regular CDs are still the champ. anyways, hd dvd is leading in sales right now over blu ray, and regular dvds are killing them both in sales. this console war wont be won due to the format, its going to be won with games. unless your buying ps3 solely for a blu ray player. but this is the video game zone forum isnt it?

But thats just YOU and maybe a few others. If a muthafucka can afford a PS3, chances are, that person already HAS a HDTV.

They are targeting THAT crowd. And how many people have TV's RIGHT next to their computer? Mine aint. Matter of fact, my computer is clear across the goddamn room from my TV.

You have to realize that YOU are an exception to ALOT of people. Matter of fact, im quite surprised you arent a PC gamer they way you have your shit set up. When I was going to school for Network Administrations, it seemed that ever person in their EXCEPT me, had a very similar set up as YOU. They were all non-console gamers.

Anyways, the arguement about how terrible the PS3 is, has grown thin. OK, we get it. Nintendo fans DONT like it. Get over it. Just ignore the ones that hype it up becuase youre NOT gonna change their minds.

Wait... I'm a Nintendo fanboy now? Weird, I thought I was a 360 fanboy.

My setup is as follows:

Wii hooked up to 27" normal tv.
360 hooked up to 17" computer monitor
shitty computer that I got for $50

I play emulators on the pc, and use the 360 in HD on the monitor. My tv is set up on the other side of the room, so I have the Wii and the tv on opposing sides of the room. I have no idea why the Wii is over here, actually, I haven't been playing it too often after I beat Zelda. Guess it just looks nice next to the 360.

Just my opinion, but I don't think too many people that buy the PS3 have HD. From what I see in forums and from talking to people on Live, the majority of 360 owners don't have HD. HD has not penetrated the market as much as you would like to believe. Hell, the premium PS3 doesn't even come with HD cables... I'm sure there's a reason for that.

Homie, you been hypin that Wii up since last year...you AND Home-E. We all know you been hatin the PS3, its no secret. Frankly, I dont care either.

My setup is as follows:

Wii hooked up to 27" normal tv.
360 hooked up to 17" computer monitor

Like i said, you have an unusual set up. I dont know ANYONE that has anything but their computer hooked up to their monitors...except those who are very knowldgeable of computers, i.e. PC gamers.

I do emulators myself. The whole reason for me buying the Wii, was so that I could play all the games I emulate, on my TV from the comfort of my couch.

Just my opinion, but I don't think too many people that buy the PS3 have HD.
Niether I nor you can provide proof other than trying to post a poll in here, which is gay cus it aint that serious.

From what I see in forums and from talking to people on Live, the majority of 360 owners don't have HD.
Yeah, and the 360 is also $200 cheaper and came out a year ago. HD TV's are now cheaper than ever. My good friend just bought one for $1200 at Costco, shit is stupid fresh.

HD has not penetrated the market as much as you would like to believe.
I beg to differ. As I stated, they are cheaper and the cost of the box from Comcast has dropped significantly.

Hell, the premium PS3 doesn't even come with HD cables... I'm sure there's a reason for that.
You know why? THose cables cost anywhere between $75-$125. You think people are just going to GIVE those away? Hell, Comcast doesnt even give you those when you get their box!
