I hate to go back and forth, but it is not a fact.
Isn't that the point of this thread?? Name a place that you can go in California, at 8 months pregnant and say "hey can I have an abortion please?", and the fetus is 100% functional and healthy.....

I really hope that you are either a female that has been pregnant, or a doctor to actually answer this correctly.... Last time that I checked, there is one abortion clinic in San Francisco that will give what they call "Late Term Abortions" and it is up until late second trimester.

The fact that Laci Peterson and her husband PLANNED for this baby, bought it clothes and began planning it's nursery is the EXACT reason why he is getting charged with double murder...

There is a huge difference between getting pregnant unwantedly, and carrying a child you had a baby shower for....who's right is it to decide FOR Laci that this child isn't going to live anymore??

This is the whole point...California says that abortion is legal because an unborn child IS NOT A REAL PERSON.

It doesn't matter that Laci and her husband "PLANNED" for this baby...the baby isn't born yet, therefore, NOT A REAL PERSON.

Now, for whatever reason (maybe because of the publicity of this case, the nature of the crime, etc.) California might charge him with double murder.

That's fine if that's what they want to do, but in one case the baby IS NOT a person...and in another the baby IS a person.

^^thats what im sayin.. i was trying to think up an analogy for it.. its like if your at work or whatever, and you slap a girls ass... getting charged with child molestation.. she was AT ONCE a child..

relating back to the abortion shit its like the baby was once old enough to be aborted...

actually fuck it i probably just sound stupid.. that whole charge really bugged me tho..

If they charge him with double murder, then California has a double standard.

The state wants to try him for double homicide because she was pregnant with a baby, but the state also thinks that abortion should be legal because fetuses aren't "real people" yet.

Which is it going to be? You can't, or at least shouldn't have it both ways.
i agree consistency is needed.

simple fact, you cannot go ANYWHERE with a full on 8 month old fetus and have it aborted....
have you heard of PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION which is alive and LEGAL here in the UNITED STATES. if you havent then let me tell you what it is like.

babies that are in the final trimester (7, 8, 9th month) go in for an abortion. and here is the procedure

1. they stick a hammer into the womans womb and crack open the babies skull

2. they take some scissors and stab the babies brains till it dies

3. they stick a vacumm into the head of the baby and suck out the brains (all this while the baby is in the body still).

4. they drug the woman to get her to go into labor at which time they deliver a baby that is completely developed. only dead

I said in California specifically... and if there is a place where that can be done in California, then can you give me the name and atleast the city of where it is located?? I really hope that you have evidence to back your point on this, because otherwise it is truly senseless.

i have seen him break down into tears crying a few times.
I have as well, but guess what, anyone can cry on cue. Wouldn't you be crying too if you did some stupid shit like that? He was crying because he knew he was going to get caught.

And for the last time, no one has been able to explain Scott Peterson's calm demeanor. He did not participate in any of the searches that were put up for Laci (only his own in LA of all places?)

And can you explain WHY he was checking the Hi/Low tides for the Richmond bay, then preceded to take his TINY boat out into conditions that not even the most experienced boatman would bare?

$10,000 cash, 30 miles from Mexico, blonde hair, and no remorse... your opinion is your and yours alone, but don't attempt to change mine.

This post is stupid because abortions are decided strictly by a woman’s choice of whether or not she wants to have a child. If a woman is murdered while she is pregnant and the baby is killed as well then that should be a double homicide because the baby was not killed by the pregnant woman's own choosing... That is what the woman’s pro-choice stance is all about. It’s up to the pregnant woman to decide if the unborn child should live, not anyone else….

No you didn't. This is what you said.

You made it a point to say that you couldn't go ANYWHERE with an 8 month old fetus and have it aborted. Well, The United States is ANYWHERE.

Maybe no one has touched on this subject because the discussion isn't about him killing his wife. All of this has nothing to do with the subject of double murder. You keep stressing your opinion about him killing his wife. The topic isn't about that...it's about him being charged for killing the BABY.

If you want a debate about whether or not Scott Peterson killed his wife...maybe you should start a new thread.

read my posts before you quote me....

and if this thread is only about the abortion vs. murder conviction topic....then I suggest you stop replying my "off topic" responses...

You seem to be missing the point.

Regardless of a woman's choice to abort or not, the reason abortion is legal in the state of California is because the state views unborn children as not being real people.

So how can you charge someone for murdering something that isn't real?

1. If a woman decides to kill an unborn child it's O.K.

2. If someone else does it without her consent it's murder.

In both situations the child isn't real (in the eyes of the state).

So which is it? When is the unborn child considered a real person? You and me may be able to have double standards, but the law shouldn't.

Was that a command? I don't listen to commands. Suggestions, questions, etc. are O.K., but not commands.

and if this thread is only about the abortion vs. murder conviction topic....then I suggest you stop replying my "off topic" responses...
Or...you can take your "off topic" responses to a different thread.

Why reply with things that have nothing to do with the original topic? You question why no one has responded to what you had to say...well, maybe it's because what you were saying had nothing to do with what was being discussed.

I mean...I was helping you out. It seemed as though you wanted people to respond to what you were saying. So I suggested that you start a new thread. Just trying to help.....

ONLY because the law keeps them from doing that.
they can do them as of now.

but right now the republicans in the senate that are sponsoring a bill would outright ban PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION.

i think the charge on that bill is being led by Senator Rick Santorum from Pennselvania
