thanks.
everyone knows the cowboys have talent, but the thing is, they aren't showing much of it this year. i feel jason garrett is responsible for this, as the cowboys have many weapons on offense. yet, he isn't utilizing them the best he could.
so far, through this season, the cowboys have won the possession battle of the games, except the redskins game, when they had possession for only 21 minutes of the game. that is expected when you only run the ball 11 times.
point is, i feel the cowboys are at their best if they set up their passing game after unleashing barber and jones. i'm not too sold on jason garrett's playcalling, and i haven't been too impressed with his playcalling so far this season. the cowboys should control the clock with the two backs, and then follow up by executing with the passing game. with this, terrell owens, jason witten, and patrick crayton's impact on the game will seem bigger with barber and jones milking the clock up.
tony romo has also looked uncomfortable at times this season. at times he looks like he's lost focus, and he's caused a good amount of turnovers so far this year.
i'll admit, right now i'm not too sure if wade phillips is the right coach for this team. maybe defensive coordinator, but not head coach. his laid-back style might be popular amongst the cowboys staff and players, but as many of you can see, there isn't much desire, discipline, or intensity when the cowboys step on the field. as i mentioned discipline, i thought of the shitload of penalties the cowboys have totaled up so far in this season.
jerry jones tried to pull a dan snyder and buy a superbowl, and that will never happen. the cowboys do have a team that can take them to the superbowl, but lacking motivation and discipline is what makes this team unachieve. a lot of experts and analysts have expected this cowboys team to go deep, as well as many cowboys fans, but it looks like the giants have control of the nfc right now.
