after the two losses so far in this season, and a near loss to the bengals, i can't really say what i expect for the rest of this season.
the redskins are a good team, and i thought they played well against the cowboys. i honestly feel that they could've beaten the redskins, had they not abandoned the run. and with the sorry defense that the bengals have, i don't know how or why the cowboys didn't beat them more than they should've.
of all the phases of the game, the defense has been disappointing me the most. during the offseason, the cowboys addressed their weakness, which was the cornerback position, by drafting mike jenkins, orlando scandrick, and trading for pacman jones...and the defense has been giving up some in the passing game. having terence newman playing hurt and losing him for the next couple weeks doesn't help either.
the special teams has been ass since preseason. allowing good field position for the opposing team, as well as having a shaky secondary together won't allow this cowboys team to go deep.
yes, the season is still young. but...the schedule doesn't get easier, as the cowboys still have to play the giants twice, one more game against the eagles and redskins, as well as games against the buccaneers, the steelers, the seahawks, and the ravens, all of which i feel will be tough games.
i think it would be best for the cowboys to make a trade, possibly for another cornerback, or a wide receiver.
