I think what it comes down to is some of us like that gangsta shit taken to the limit. So even though the beats are the details about 187's are taken to the the extremes we can be like cool it's still gangsta shit. Like if a nigga hit a sherm stick and went to put in work. ANd in that sense natrual born killaz by cube and dre, murder was the case they gave me by snoop, spice 1's track on tales from the hood would all be considered horrorcore but we wouldn't call them horrorcore rappers.

Basically, the fans that are into extreme gangsta music dont want to be linked with the fans who are more into the fantastical weird almost metal like horrorcore.
