i'd disagree there, i think he comes off more subtle with his turn into a monster in the book. he never had a period where he was deceptively charming & thats cuz they took the easy route of hiring an actor with a weasely face ppl would hate instantly. hes supposed to be as handsome as his parents.

Well he's a great actor. Everybody hates his guts lol. Notice how everybody in hbos commentaries kind of describe things from the perspective of their character. He completely separates himself though and talks about joffrey as a horrible person. He has to because people are seriously hostile to him in person lol

The actor did an awesome job. I read he quit acting and is doing charity work in Haiti. Lol completely opposite from his character

Well the show softened down his transformation. He was actually supposed to be ultra pale with thin crackly white balding hair, missing his teeth, several fingers and toes flayed and removed, posture ruined, covered in sores and shit and grime, and he's pretty near utterly broken mentally lol.

That whole scene was just tv drama lol
