under 10 new um maybe a Kia rio or a chevy cavalier thats about it

Altimas and imps start at like 18-19 gs The Altima I want costs damn near 30.

If you are trying to floss for 10 Gs better start looking back into the late 90s and get something used and still clean

Yeah get an 00-02 Benz for 10k then deal with the problems that come along with it. Then you better have the money to repair it. An oil change for those cars are easily $50.00.

Stick with a japanese car if you're looking for less out of pocket money for repairs and longevity.

You can get a Honda Accord, Acura Integra sedan, Toyota Camry/Avalon for approximately $10k.

Well I guess if you aint trippin off the maintenence cost you can get a C-Class Benz or a BMW 3 Series.

Here's one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/535221086.html

Price at $10.5 privite owner with 70k miles
this guy knows what hes talking about. Japanese cars for commuting and labor/parts wise. Not to mention good gas mileage, im ignant when it comes to this though lol i preffer chevy's.. gives a fuck about gas prices chevys the shit.

Look into 94-96 Impala's, Buick Roadmaster's, Cadillac DeVille's, Caprices, Olds Cutlass Classic's. The non-Cadillac's ride like them and they're reasonably priced and easily upgradable.
The Lexus IS300 has power potential and is also a comfortable car to drive.
90's model Altima's and Maxima's are so-so fast, but are decent dailies.
Non-turbo Lancer's and Impreza's aren't too expensive, and obviously have plenty of start-out potential.
If you're into tuners, look into Integra's and V-Tec Prelude's.
You're going to spend a premium on Benz and Beemer parts on all corners. My frienf owned a 318Ti and pulled the radio, which led to shutting the whole car down. His mom bought a head light for her CL and it cost around $300. They may look nice, but when the miles climb and the car gets old you need major funds to repair them.

*EDIT I saw your post about not wanting to mod, but I still stand by the cars I posted.

is this a vehicle u will be driving to/from work, or will this vehicle be used for work purposes?

~k.
to/from work, i just want to look a little more professional, showing up to work in a beater ass 86 chevy nova, or an 89 ford tempo is horrible for a first impression.

youre better off with the 96 to tell you the truth, LS1 and all.
LT1, not LS1. The next-gen LS1 wasn't dropped in a performance vehicle until 1998. The LT1 is nearly bulletproof. The '96 puts out a respectable 260hp, which is actually conservatively rated from the factory. With a new MAF, cold air intake, and a PCM tune, you're looking at a decent 240 horse to the rear wheels.
