I heard that there is research done by scientists that proved that God doesnt exist. I wanna check this out, so does anyone have it? The reason Im asking this is because I got major doubts towards this whole idea of religion. The bible itself seem like one big book of fairytales to me. So can somebody provide me with that research?

lol...Yeah. Albert Einstein conducted a test wherein he threw a baseball up to the sky and said "Hey Jehovah, CATCH!" and it landed, uncaught.

Millions of christians worldwide stopped going to church after that.

Shut the fuck up you unintelligent, uneducated, mongoloid MORON. I was being sarcastic because your question is the dumbest question I've ever heard since I used to do volunteer work with alzheimer's patients. Do you honestly believe that there's ANY uncontested evidence that god doesn't exist? Do you think there's any uncontested evidence that god does exist? IT'S A HEATED FUCKING DEBATE WHICH HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE INVENTION OF SPEECH AMONGST HUMANS. For every 3 scientists who are staunch atheists who claim there is no scientific support of a god, there's 3 more who become born again in religion and swear by it.

You want to know any "research" pertaining to the subject? There's about 15 hundred billion gazillion books in a public library near you arguing both sides.

YOU HAVE SHIT FOR BRAINS

No theres no scientific PROOF that god doesn't exist, but if you want a really good book that logically disproves any religion its: Atheism: The Case Against God by George H. Smith. Read that if youre in search of answers.

I haven't read that book, but just lookin at the title it doesn't seem to give an objective view if the word Athiest is in it. Of course its going to disprove any religion cuz thats what athiesm does
How is there room to be objective when religion is involved? Atheism deals with logic, religion is not logical in any form.

I wrote a paper on it in my philosphy class...I don't remember who created the theory...

But it's based on the "Problem of Evil" that deduces, based on 3 main points that GOD is supposed to have, that evil could not exist if GOD did...

If you do a Google Search...look up "Problem of Evil"

I'm sure you'll find a lot of articles...check here too...

THANK YOU!! Religion is pretty much based on theory. Like I said in my first post, its all like one big fairy tale which cant be proven.

there could never be any scientific proof that GOD doesnt exist.as far as religions.i dont believe in any.i think each person follows a religion that they feel comfortable in and if it makes them a better person thats coo.but i hate when them Jahovas and Mormans bother me with there shit.i see'em as cults, not realy religions.and as far as books about religion or athieism go,the title will tell you were the bias is.its gonna be written by a follower of that belief,so i wouldnt take that into consideration for adopting a belief.the best thing to do if you want a religion to follow that best fits you, try'em all out and pick the one that shares your beliefs.i dont think any religion is "RIGHT".just right for them.........

How so?

The whole basis of the theory makes a lot of sense to me, but I didn't hear about until my freshman year of college, and it made a lot sense...

God is Omnipotent (all powerful)
God is Omniscient (all knowing)
God is perfectly good.

Based off this...God knows when evil will occur, God has the ability to stop it, and being a perfectly good being, he would be willed to prevent evil.

But evil still exists...

This is only a theory, but it does makes sense...

"God either wishes to take away evil, and is unable, or He is able, and unwilling; or He is neither willing nor able, or He is both willing and able. If He is willing and is unable, He is feeble, which is not in accordance with the character of God; if He is able and unwilling, He is envious [malicious], which is equally at variance with God; if He is neither willing nor able, He is both envious and feeble, and therefore not God; if He is both willing and able, which alone is suitable to God, from what source then are evils? or why does He not remove them?" -- Epicurus

If and only if, God throws reincarnation into the mix does he take the burden off himself from the problem of evil.

A cannot be A and not A.

Lets say this, I burn down your house on purpose. You would think of me as a bad person, who commited a evil act. However later on in life I see you and I hand you keys to your new house, the house I bought you is a lot better then the one I burned down. Now your happy because you have a new big home. Something which you have been void of. So now I am redeemed of the crime because compensated you. In your heart you would forgive me and be at peace with me, because I compensated you, I am no longer "evil".

So God could work on a larger scale with compensating humans through the life cycle generator of re-incarnation. He could provide new "homes" for those who earn them in previous lives.

Make sense?

in other words: can God create a world he couldn't crush?? if you say yes, he's not God because he's created something more powerful than him, if you say no that means he not powerful enough to make something more powerful than himself. either way you're sayin' he's not Omnipotent.

yes, there some people that says that God doesn't exists but i dont believe that...i dont believe in the whole bible thing though, i mean when they talk about adam and eve come on do u really think that really happened? it couldn't have been, to me life and the whole universe is in within you all the elements that created u and u will never see that in the mind, thats one thing u can't see...so what i'm sayin is all the stuff that ya see in the world u made it all up...When u die u just die u dont think or see black or nothing, i be thinkin sometimes when ya die your body dies but your soul and spirit goes into another body from a different planet Thats just me though. can't ya see how life is just awkward sometimes..all the evil thats happenin is what they want all from da heart from themeselves, not the devil...

BaSICCally you do make a good point...and correct me if I'm wrong, cause I honestly don't know...but I don't think Christians believe in Reincarnation...

And I believe Christianity was the basis, of the 3 points going into the theory...

I'm not exactly sure, where I stand on the issue...but if anyone gets a chance, check out a movie called "Defending Your Life" with Albert Brooks, it actually throws a nice twist, into the idea of life after death...

No, Christians don't belive in reincarnation, im not sure why they don't either. To me reincarnation answers so many questions and gives meaning to life. Not only for the individual for all of humanity. With reincarnation the problem of evil would also be solved. To me evil exists and God knows that evil happens. Remember Satan was once a angel of God, but he fell out of Gods image. So God sent him to Earth to live. So a omnicient being would not create something which the creator had no control of the creation. Satan is not Frankenstein. Like Einstien said, God never plays dice with the cosmos.

Something I found intresting in the Bible, in the book of Job. God talks to Satan and works with him to test Job's life. They both work together to test the will of Job and pull away his hedges. Job looses all he has, which is a lot, yet in the end, years later God compensates him with twice as much as he previously had because he was a faithful servent.

Keep in mind in the Jewish tradition, they don't belive in hevean or hell, they also don't have any scripture that points to the afterlife. So essentially the concepts of hevean and hell only come from the Christian and Islamic canons.

I also noticed in the old testament when it gives some of the peoples ages, their ages came out to be around 900. Large numbers which even with mordern medicne could we fantom such ages. So is the large number an accumlative age for all of their previous lives?

It's intresting to read the bible with the concept of reincarnation in the bad of your mind.

But what is your three points in the theory?

ill try to find that movie.
