What has afterlife to do with the will to preserve nature, and ultimately, life, for future generations? I don’t understand your logic. Life is pointless, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t cherish and try to preserve it rather than continue to destroy it at the pace we currently are.

I see no reason as to why religion should be used as a tool when talking about ”environmentalism”. Christianity, for one, is a human-centered religion, meaning that humans are perceived as being above nature (incorrect) when it comes to status, rather than being a part of nature (correct). Human-centered thinking is flawed. ”The Earth is here to serve man; man is here to serve God.” Etc. This is a detrimental worldview because it basically encourages people to exploit nature to satisfy their own needs, and so continue to destroy vital biodiversity. The economic system (and fundamentally, our civilization), based on continuous growth, is also to blame for this mentality.

i dont see the day after tomorrow happening? So i dont have to worry about it. Im more concerned with the 2 dollar a gallon gas prices
