Oh my bad......you here in KC is get's dark @ 7:00pm. It was around 7:30-8pm...it's dark and the street lighting here is bad. So, I thought Hide N go Seek would be something good. LOL....@ "Make them play a sport".....these are my nephews, not my sons. I can't make them play a sport. Believe me I tried.
Anyway, glad to here some of the thoughts here. Just need to get these kids a bit more active.

Its a different era. Back in the late 80s and early 90s when I was a kid I was addicted to the nes and snes but I also played outside till the street lights came on. Because I wanted to. Social media is gonna fuck these kids up because they have no people skills. They rather text or talk on a headset than interact with a human face to face...
So my advice to u is to just tell him, even if he gets butthurt. So when shit does hit the fan, you can say I told you so.

Seems like i was into different shit at that age...Shit my first console was a Playstation 3 and i've only been playing video games for a couple years. I play alot now but i kinda feel like i'm catching up from not playing video games at all growing up. One thing i do know though is i managed to rack up quite a few charges on the ol rap sheet from the time i wasn't spending at home when i was younger! On the other hand my parents were not spoiling me with $300 dollar consoles and $60 dollar games when i was a kid...
I CANT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE DONT WANNA SEE, WHATS GOING ON IN REAL TIME...THE GAMER IN MY HEART THOUGH, WANTS ME TO TEST COMMANDO PRO AND MY OTHER COD AND BATTLEFIELD SKILLS OUT ON THE STREETS AND HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO SHOW THEMSELVES FROM TIME TO TIME...BUT I CANT JUST SEE MYSELF PLAYING GAMES ALL FUCKING DAY!!!
Gaming is cool.....don't get me wrong.
When I was their age I was playing Resident Evil 1.....you know the one you had to actually figure shit out to get somewhere in that game. Remember when you had to push that statue on the second floor? You actually had to use your brain a little to play that game. COD and all these newer games are just shoot and kill type shit don't help these kids. Sure it's fun......but it's redundant. I am glad I learned how to play Chess at a young age......Now that is a game.

its different now for the new generations. When i was growing up all i wanted to do was fish, ride bikes with all the homies and swim. dont get me wrong video games took a big part of my time but not more than outdoor playing. I got a younger step brother who all he does is play video games. I would try to take him fishing, even airsoft wars at the school but he wasnt havnt it.

That game never came across as a "I need to do the main objectives" type of shit we have today because there was so many fun things to do where you could screw around for hours. I also doubt the game is 10-15 hours long, most of the dungeons take at least 2-3 and thats not including building your character up with side quests that are mandatory.
