see i work in politics, plus ive had a bunch of non-profit experience and anyone whos worked in a nonprofit knows that u wear different hats which allows you to put spread all those job qualifications across hella different fields. like i could apply to be a legislative manager or director, as well as a front-end web developer. I could even work in fundraising if i wanted to. I always apply to hella different kinds of jobs. But you're right, if its the same kind of job, i do only minor modifications to the cover letters. But over 150+ resumes, dammnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. i would get discouraged by then. I did my time with shitty jobs though, i wont take nothing less than a professional position by now. I leave the fries and coke to the 17 and under crowd.
i was gonna get get a journalism degree, i wanted to work for a magazine and write.
but instead i went the Polisci direction. not as interesting, but ive met some important ass people and thats key when looking for a new job.

it allows me to go across several fields, but it still didn't help for shit.
i even worked on 1 tv show at school (news broadcast), and did another for public access in my spare time with friends...and we took over the school's comedy show slot cause they sucked...haha....we were all in the same major so people were'nt too fond of us taking their slot and bein gbetter...
job searches suck....
