Al if you never checked Jason Molina's stuff you should. Both under the The Magnolia Electric Co and Songs:Ohio monikers he made some really great stuff. While I'm not a big fan of them personally, but I know you are, you can say his stuff is in the same vain as The Mountain Goats even if they don't sound much alike.

One of the Spinners died today. Is it just me or have like a dozen members of "oldies" groups die so far this year? I mean, I know a lot of them are getting up there in age but it just seems like those fools are dropping left and right this year.

pretty sure that happened yesterday unless there was 2 back to back.

thing is... & I just thought about this last night, we aint young anymore.
so oldies singers are even older than us, probably around our age when we were born. they are dying, but from natural causes. ( most of them,... I am sure @Mixerr has had his fair share of harassment killings with oldies singers just like he did to @Mac Jesus )

Yeah I just noticed the article I read was from yesterday, but still. I mean these dudes were in their 20s-30s in 60/70s so I guess it makes sense. Still seems like an awful lot of them have died in the past few months though regardless.
