@Nuttkase sorry to hear about the job thing.... maybe they wanted someone dumber who they could get over on? I seem to see that a lot in some companies.

The dude who got it is a total brown noser and is "cool" with the GM so I figured if it wasn't me it would be him. They went to the same college (didn't know each other though), and he's always kissing ass just as the GM is to his boss. Like I'm respectful, always act professional, but one thing I'll never do is bend over backwards and kiss some ass like they do. I've called the company out on things they do that are wrong including the GM and I've told people to go to HR when they weren't getting their evaluations/raises when they should be, stuff like that which I'm sure some of that had to do with it as well. Overall though I'm still pretty well off with my current position but I think I'm going to see what's out there. I'm not dumb because the job market is still bad in general but if something slightly better comes along I'm gone.
