You played WoW before I did, what are you laughing at? lol
Yeah i did. Friends brother bought it for me on my birthday (Nov 27th) surprised me with it. I think it had just come out. I didn't really want to play another MMO after Everqyest and Asherons Call and Dark Age of Camelot but some friends convinced me it was different, it was heavily about world pvp, and they advertised it as such. Once Blizzard figured out their servers couldn't handle 400+ players in a single area fighting it out, their servers were constantly crashing for hours on end after any type of organized fight, plus were getting floods of complaints from cry babies saying they couldn't level and getting killed was ruining their experience (why the FUCK would you join a PVP server then?) they basically deleted all traces of saying the game was going to be epic hundreds vs hundreds battles and instanced it to battlegrounds small scale pvp. Then they introduced the honor system which was a farce. The top alliance and horde guilds would just trade back and forth farming each other, grab the top rewards then gank randons in full raid gear and parties. I quit, exactly 1 year in

I never wanted to raid at all that's also why i quit. I hated Everquest cause it turned into basically raiding only. WoW moved towards raiding. I joined a raid guild but after doing like 8 raids i think and gathering "credits " i got passed up on an awesome piece of gear even though i had the points and the other guy didn't. I basically got butthurt and was like "Why am I wasting all these hours and getting absolutely nothing to show for it? I fucking quit this gay shit" and ppl tried to chill me out but i destroyed my epic mount which was a huge deal at that time most ppl didn't have them, destroyed all my gear mailed all my gold and valuables to William206 then deleted my account lol he couldn't grasp how i could just stop playing in an instant without second thought

Why would you want 400+ players in a single area, you wouldn't be able to see what you're doing. I do massive world pvp all the time, 80 man raid groups hitting shit and that's too damn much lol especially if you play a melee class. You're just in the middle of a blob of people.

10/15 vs. 10/15 out in the world is perfect.

Because it's fucking fun. It's not like they're all in the exact same spot there's skirmishes and ambushes happening all over and the battles are incredibly dynamic. Well, they could've been. It was more like oh look im timing out, yup server crashed before the fun even began.

Also it was incredibly gay how unbalanced Alliance vs Horde was. Alliance could literally go through a side entrance of the orc city, kill 2-3 guards then pull the orc leader guy and kill him. Undead city they could just go through a sewer straight to the boss and kill him. Tauren city literally go up a back elevator and pull the boss cause it's right there.

Alliance was like have to run over drawbridges and the guards were bugged , for each horde player spotted they'd spawn like a dozen more guards. You basically tried to get into their cities and thered be hundreds of guards then the srver would crash. Also the server i played on started 3:1 alliance to horde by the time i quit it was 5-6:1

I've been in a bunch of 100+ vs. 100+ throughout the years and that shit is miserable and generally shunned by the community lol

I could pull up some videos of it on my server. Shit is stupid, you basically gotta spam AOE spells because you can't see anything else going on.

It also takes zero skill because there's so many people. In a smaller fight you actually have to use all of your talents, make sure you have a good comp of classes etc. Other wise you end up getting a massive group with somebody target calling which just melts people in a second while everybody just spams.

The moment you go passed 40 vs. 40 it gets wack really quick. I've been doing it for years and definitely prefer small scale (no more than 20 vs. 20) world pvp over what we call zerg pvp.

Got borderline acne after eating chips and salsa for like 6-10 days straight. It started clearing up then i ate chips and salsa again and it came back. It's gone now

That sucks that i can't eat it without breaking out i wonder why. Probably because chips are basically just grease and sugar (simple flour carbs = essentially sugar to your body), plus the acidity from tomatoes i gues

They designed it that way, they shifted everything to basically make it "spam AoE" because they want people raiding

lol no they don't, WoW has been PVP focused for ever. Every "famous" WoW streamer is a PVP'er.

My server is like 99% PVP focused and it's one of the biggest servers in the game, we only have like 6 guilds pushing the highest difficulty PVE raids lol

William206 still brings up the time this group of ten alliance tried to gank me and him and i was shifting in and out of my stances, stunning one person charge the healer take out the healer shift back charge the other way, was basically kiting them back and forth disarming their melee at the perfect times working them down one by one lol. People just didn't do that they wete fucking stupid, they stood in the same spot and treated pvp like they were fighting raid pve. I also took out the top alliance warrior named Screwball, who was the first to get that Warlord title; he had a full set of raid gear but i was hardened from being ganked so much, and way better at playing, took him down 1v1 while his group watched then got a bow it was cool

Vanilla WoW > whatever youre playing. There's a reason wow lost something like 70% of its player base and don't even publish their subscriber count anynore

Vanilla WoW had like 5 million subscribers. The peak hit at the end of Wrath of the Lich King/early Cataclysm at 12 million. Got back up to 10 million at the start of this expansion. It dropped to around 6 at their last announcement. Will probably blow back up a few million in August when Legion drops. There's always mid expansion sub purges.

I started in Burning Crusade, BC was exactly the same as Vanilla WoW as far as gameplay except there was more content and they fixed a lot of what was broken with classes lol

I also played on a Vanilla WoW private server that was 100% copy of OG Vanilla WoW, I've experienced it, it's overrated as fuck. It was extremely grindy, the spellbook was limited as hell. Classes were broken. Shit definitely improved later.

I kinda lol'd at grindy. WoW was the easiest fastest MMO I've played by leaps and bounds. Even as a warrior with no healing abilities i could just sit down chow some food and be good to go 30 seconds later. Shit it didn't even matter if you died really. Everquest it'd take you like fucking 45 minutes to recover to full health, you actually had to group up with a healer as a melee basically at all times. Asherons Call you could hybrid with magic / melee but spell materials were a bitch to keep up. I don't even think items had weight in WoW you could run around with like the equivalent of two tons of equipment.

If that was grindy i can't imagine what it became

Fuck i hated Everquest so much near the end. Sometimes it'd take you like four fucking hours to travel across continents. Like, why would they punish us like this it's not adding any level of immersion or enjoyment. I guess certain types love that though. Take Lineage2 for example. It would take you months and months just to level up or get that one piece of gear you wanted
