too we were at that dude's spot getting stoned and doing whip-its. I already fucked with Juvie's music since first hearing him on BG's Chopper City and then his Soulja Rags album but most my friends had never heard that NO shit at that point. It was about 50/50, half loved it, half hated it, but girls liked to shake their asses to a lot of that NO rap and bounce stuff when we played it so everyone at very least tolerated it lol
Neither New Orleans or Memphis would have had their distinct sound back then if it wasn't for this song
that shit was a game changer in both of those cities for whatever reason. Shit barely made a blip in NYC (Showboys were from Queens) but laid the foundation for those two Southern cities in the rap game.

It is but everyone down there called it Triggaman due to the chorus. They had no idea who the Showboys were or that they were even from NYC when it started getting sampled heavily in both spots.
It's most likely someone brought back that tape randomly from a trip to NYC and it started getting passed around or something. Shit was sampled in some old Mississippi rap too which is the divider of the two states.
I honestly never really cared for bounce unless broads were shaking their asses to it. I know who Sporty T & DJ Jubilee and all them are but that's about it.
You know anything about Miami Bass? Like what would you say was the origin of Miami Bass? By that I mean, did the city have it's own Triggaman? What inspired DJ Magic Mike, The Guccie Crew II, The 2 Live Crew, etc?
