Also one of our state representatives is completely blind I met him a few times he was dating a lady who lives at the building i work at. You can work blind
This is why I don't ever feel sorry for Mixerr. I get and understand that he's autistic. But it's pretty obvious he's highly functional in living with his autism.

Dude seems to be full of excuses and seems like he got in a comfort zone with no working and free money.

Why did you put yourself in that situation again? lol

>Moves in with someone that has meltdowns and outbursts
>Wants people to feel sorry for him with statements like "I put up with these meltdowns and outbursts on a daily basis".

lol ok
You do realize you are talking to an autistic person right? Just making sure you remember that.

Anyways if they are capable of it, living on SSI or not, it's good for them to get some sort of independence even if it's living with others in a similar position. I'm sure they more than likely are monitored by counselors in some sort of program or might even live in an apartment complex geared towards getting people with disabilities that are capable of living on their own, to an extent, out of their families house. There are a few of those type of places around Seattle.

In fact, they do employ a couple of autistic people there. Want me to talk to my boss about getting you a job?
Here in Texas, attitudes towards the mentally ill people are kinda fucked up. Not much funding goes towards these services. In fact the waiting list was 6 years time at the time my parents signed me up. This was in 1998. Imagine what the waiting list is like now! It's probably 15 years!! No joke.

I fully realize it. I also realize he moved in with someone that has rage fits and meltdowns and obviously these rage fits and meltdowns are having an adverse effect on Mixerr's life and mental stability.

So once again I ask the question, "why did he put himself in that situation?"

Independence from family vs. living with a mentally unstable person with meltdowns and rage fits.

But I do agree with you I @inf amouicon if Mixerr @Mixerr put in applications everywhere and took a job even at McDs flipping burgers for extra cash he should be able to land some sort of work. He does seem pretty high functioning as you said, especially if he's living on his own with roommates.

You're not bound by HIPPA laws, as you;re not a medical provider. Just saying.
I know but my roommates mother bought the duplex for him because she did not want her son placed in a group home or institution. She did a rather nice thing that my mother would not do because both my parents don't make enough money ever since June 2013 when my father lost his software engineering job at IBM.

Forbes has Austin's cost of living only 10% above national average.

If you can't live large off of 150k in a place slightly above national average cost of living you're fucking up.

I think Forbes is smarter than you and knows more.
I'M NOT FORBES! Am I?

Because it's been proven to be beneficial for quite a lot of them to be given independence when they are older from living with their families. Even if it's a trial run. Some it works for, some it doesn't.

Also I highly doubt he put himself in the situation just on his own as you are making it sound like (although I could be wrong but I doubt it). It was probably suggested as a good thing to try by his caseworker and/or counselors. The guy I work with who I would say is maybe just slightly more functioning than Mixerr, going off of what he's told us on here, said the independence of moving out of his parents house helped him greatly. He's about 5-6 years old than Mixerr and has lived in an apartment complex of the type I was talking to for a couple years now. I'll have to ask him if he has roommates because if he does he's never mentioned them.

Uh let's see… Because he did not used to have these outbursts and meltdowns. This was due to a switch in medication for him. Right now he's calmed down. Again I can't tell you anything else. Sorry for not responding fast enough. I am not a fast typer.

Uh no shit genus. I know VERY WELL that I'm autistic. Tell that to one of my autistic friends. She is a 21 year old female who functions at the level of a 3 year old yet she's totally carefree. That's what's cool about her.
