Anyways if they are capable of it, living on SSI or not, it's good for them to get some sort of independence even if it's living with others in a similar position. I'm sure they more than likely are monitored by counselors in some sort of program or might even live in an apartment complex geared towards getting people with disabilities that are capable of living on their own, to an extent, out of their families house. There are a few of those type of places around Seattle.

I fully realize it. I also realize he moved in with someone that has rage fits and meltdowns and obviously these rage fits and meltdowns are having an adverse effect on Mixerr's life and mental stability.
So once again I ask the question, "why did he put himself in that situation?"

I know but my roommates mother bought the duplex for him because she did not want her son placed in a group home or institution. She did a rather nice thing that my mother would not do because both my parents don't make enough money ever since June 2013 when my father lost his software engineering job at IBM.

Because it's been proven to be beneficial for quite a lot of them to be given independence when they are older from living with their families. Even if it's a trial run. Some it works for, some it doesn't.
Also I highly doubt he put himself in the situation just on his own as you are making it sound like (although I could be wrong but I doubt it). It was probably suggested as a good thing to try by his caseworker and/or counselors. The guy I work with who I would say is maybe just slightly more functioning than Mixerr, going off of what he's told us on here, said the independence of moving out of his parents house helped him greatly. He's about 5-6 years old than Mixerr and has lived in an apartment complex of the type I was talking to for a couple years now. I'll have to ask him if he has roommates because if he does he's never mentioned them.

Uh let's see… Because he did not used to have these outbursts and meltdowns. This was due to a switch in medication for him. Right now he's calmed down. Again I can't tell you anything else. Sorry for not responding fast enough. I am not a fast typer.
