my friend just did a photography job for the gold coast tourism office and as he was leaving after dropping off the work he told them if they need any more work just let him know, not really expecting anything. they then asked him if he wanted to run the gold coast tourism instagram for $250 a week. all he has to do is search a hashtag and repost a photo 3 times a day.

LMAO I just found a video for a 1 minute film I did in my first quarter at community college film school from like 2 years ago. Shit is so bad, but I guess it ain't terrible since it's my first video and all I had was a DSLR, no lights, or anything else.

We couldn't use dialog, had to tell a story using editing, and it had to be under a minute and a half.

I just rewatched it, I had one really terrible editing cut about half way through and the lights had some pretty terrible continuity because they were just apartment lights and a lamp lol

I like the first & second one....was the purple just something on one of the lights? I should really get some training, I just take pictures & video with my dslr....lol

the purple was a gel I put over the key light when I was messing with a bunch of gels for some diffusion cause the light was bright as fuck. When I got that look I was like that shit looks like that Kavinsky Night Call song should be playing, looks dope lol


the 3rd one ain't really that dope, it's just a basic Rembrandt technique that I was trying to get when we were learning all the different techniques, I nailed the technique, but the picture ain't very dynamic.

yeah, it's very plain but it's still very good lighting....I think if the subject was posing or not dressed in some clothes that you find in the bin outside goodwill then it might have a bit more "umph"
