Join a union the pay is great and if you work hard an learn your craft you can avoid the only downside (the constant lay-offs when projects end) cuz you will have proven your worth to management and they will move you with the work.

Journeyman electrician in the union can make $52/ hour plus fringe benefit of $23/ hour. Do that shit
