how so? ur not gonna pull out some bums who are 41-0 like everyone else was to try and prove a point are u? floyd has been in meaningful matches (with the exception of sharmba mitchell.. i give u that) since he fought genaro hernandez. dude is a 9 time champ in 5 diff weight classes... yea at this point in time he may not be in a rush to fight everyone... but shit would u want to if u were a multi millionaire and in ur 30's with more than 130 fights in ur career?... (counting his amateur).. i never thought it was fair that people jumped on this "Floyd has to fight Pacquiao"... no no no... Pacquiao has to fight Floyd... the Road leads to Floyd here whether u pacman nut huggers believe it or not... without floyd, pacman can just retire and go be mr political guy back in his country and everyone would be okay with that... its just everyone knows Floyd is the best and they wanna see if Pacman can really beat him... and until that happens... we will never kno... i honestly hope it does... i just hate the fact that u new fans and nut huggers jump on floyds shit callin him a bitch.... no boxer is a bitch... u try fighting in front of 1000's of fans and millions worldwide.. that takes some fuckin balls.

No, but records alone don't tell the entire story. Opposition faced is just as important of a factor, and probably the more telling.

No doubt, Floyd has had a great career.

In recent years though, he just hasn't taken the toughest fights out there. Period. His best wins were nearly 10 years ago. After moving up past 140 though, not so impressive.

yea at this point in time he may not be in a rush to fight everyone... but shit would u want to if u were a multi millionaire and in ur 30's with more than 130 fights in ur career?... (counting his amateur)..

When you claim to be the best ever, naturally people are going to want you to back up your claims.

How do you do that:

By fighting the best fighters out there.

i never thought it was fair that people jumped on this "Floyd has to fight Pacquiao"... no no no... Pacquiao has to fight Floyd... the Road leads to Floyd here whether u pacman nut huggers believe it or not... without floyd, pacman can just retire and go be mr political guy back in his country and everyone would be okay with that...

Can't agree with this.

According to Mark Taffet of HBO Sports, Manny is the sport's biggest box office draw, in addition to being the sport's best fighter. Fighters are all looking to get a shot at Pacquiao, not Floyd.

Shit, at the press conferences last Saturday...Guerrero, Marquez, and Berto all called out Manny. Right now, Manny is that dude. Floyd lost his place by leaving the sport, and avoiding the toughest fights.

its just everyone knows Floyd is the best and they wanna see if Pacman can really beat him... and until that happens... we will never kno... i honestly hope it does... i just hate the fact that u new fans and nut huggers jump on floyds shit callin him a bitch.... no boxer is a bitch... u try fighting in front of 1000's of fans and millions worldwide.. that takes some fuckin balls.
Everyone? Who?

Manny is considered the best fighter in the world on just about any Pound for Pound list you can pull up.

Floyd isn't a bitch, but he has a history of avoiding the toughest fights, and that isn't an opinion...that's a fact.

When Cotto and Margarito were fast rising stars and legitimate threats to Floyd at welterweight...did Floyd prove his claim of being the best by cleaning out his division?

Nope.

He "retired" :dead:

When he came back, did he clean out the division?

Nope. He forced the lightweight champion to move up two weight divisions and fight him. (Not to mention, not even honoring the contracted weight :ermm:)

No one is doubting Floyd's skills or shitting on what he's done in the sport. But its Floyd who's backed into a corner now.

He can't fight anyone except for Pacquiao (or mayyyyybe Sergio) without a public backlash...which he's already getting now for avoiding Manny in the first place.

Floyd fought a fat and sloppy Marquez...THREE weight classes higher than the one Marquez spent his career at.

And Floyd couldn't even make weight!

Anyone who puts any stock into Floyd's win over Marquez is a shithead.

He said that in a bitter kind of way. I know all the pub and fan fair Pacquiao has been getting since his two fights with him have been eating at him a bit.

I'd love to see Pt. III though.

Marquez got his biggest payday ever. He would have fought Floyd if Floyd was wearing brass knuckles.

Floyd is a better fighter than Marquez at any weight, but Marquez would've gotten beaten by the #5 welterweight that night, and probably stopped, not just UD'd.

Marquez is not a welterweight, and had no business even stepping into the ring in a welterweight fight.

^ Well your case is a pile of shit being that Floyd made him come up two weight divisions to fight, and couldn't even make weight.

Giving him an unfair advantage, that honestly he didn't even need. Shows you how confident Floyd is in his skills huh?

But wait a minute.... didn't Pac fight Cotto at 145? Why is he forcing Marquez to come all the way up when Pac has proven he's capable of making weights under 147?

I would like to see Marquez vs Pac-Man 3. Marquez has that hate that Traver has for Roy Jones Jr for Manny. No matter what weight it's at the fight will be good.
