Celtic-Hamburg 0-1
Celtic looked tame today. They sure have some heart, but overall lack offensive creativity. Hamburg only did the necessary, but in a very effective and disciplined way. I hope the rematch will be a little more entertaining to watch, though. Celtic desperately needs a new striker of Larsons caliber, but i don't see that happening anytime soon. The SPL is just not competitive enough to be attractive for top players in their prime.
Not a good week for German Football altogether, at least Hamburg took the W.
Bayern fucked up against Bordeaux, Bremen couldn't hold a 2 goal lead against Vienna, Wolfsburg didn't use its many chances against Besiktas, and Berlin lost against Heerenvehen.:knockout:

Ribery to miss World Cup play-off
France and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is set to miss both legs of the World Cup 2010 play-off against Ireland because of a knee injury.
The news will come as a huge boost for Irish boss Giovanni Trapattoni after Coventry City's Leon Best emerged as an injury worry for the games which take place on November 14 and 18.
Bayern coach Louis van Gaal has said he does not expect Ribery to be in action for up to a month. While reports in France's L'Equipe newspaper claim that the 26-year-old could be out until next March to avoid any relapse of the injury.
France assistant coach Alain Boghossian has all but accepted that the talisman will not feature against Ireland. "For me, Franck is practically out of the play-off," he said.

Ribery is not a big lost for the team cause Domenech is so dumb that even if he would be ok, he would put him on the bench. Domenech wants him to play on the right wing cause he got Henry on the left but Ribery doesn't want. Ribery and Benzema hate Domenech... like the rest of the country. He's so full of shit I think we won't make it to the WC, and even if we make it we will lose in the first round like during the Euro 2008. Ireland got the fighting spirit, they'll play like a real team and got a real coach, not like us. Domenech should have been fired after that but he didn't and we're playing like shit since Zidane's retirement, even with some good players...
