I thought it was a great fight. Canelo came to fight, he landed some good shots. Floyd surprised him and fought pretty much toe to toe. I don't think he was expecting Floyd to fight him in the pocket. Floyd was tagging him and counter punching.

Some of Floyd's punches came so fast that I didn't see the actual punch, I would see Canelo's head snapping back and turning around.

Brilliant performance by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I thought it was a great performance by Floyd. Looked much sharper than he did against Guerrero. Canelo left a lot to be desired though. I wonder what he does next. Carlos Molina, since he picked up a belt? God I HATE watching Molina fight. Lara? Lara would beat Canelo. Cotto I heard signed two fight deal with HBO so no go on that for now. How about go up and fight Golovkin? Too risky. They'll probably go with Molina in a snoozer. Lara gets shafted again.

lol at suckers paying $75 for a shit card
Matthysse vs Garcia on paper was a banger. It just didn't play out that way since Danny did a great job neutralizing his power.

Floyd versus Canelo played out as I expected, few pages back I said it would likely be "boring" to the casuals because it would be more of a tactical fight.

Canelo was hurting floyd with those body shots first three rounds. Being Floyd he adjusted and it was a wrap.com. You might of not seen the hurt on the outside of floyd but his insides was beat to shit. He could barley talk after that.

I think Canelo did a good job when he actually threw to the body. He just needed like 100 more punches like that. Anyone will eventually wilt under that kind of body punching. That's what these young cats don't understand. If the body shots don't work by the 6th round, they give up. It only takes one good body shot to end a fight. No matter how good of shape someone is in, no matter how tough. That's why I always thought Margarito would beat Floyd. He was relentless and punched to the body with reckless abandon. It didn't matter if you hit him clean, he would just keep coming. I also think Paul Williams would've beat Floyd. Not ironic he didn't face either guy.

I don't hate Floyd at all. I think he does a lot of stupid things outside the ring and I dislike the way he represented the sport to make his name but it was smart business. He's a genius in this business, no doubt about it. Played the bad guy and made it work for him.

Aside from that, anyone think Floyd came in light on purpose to squash any talk of him fighting any middleweight? I could be wrong but he basically never would do the weigh in for HBO the night of the fight. I thought it was very odd that he did it on Saturday. I know it's just speculation, but that would actually be pretty smart on his part. If you can make the media or fans make excuses for you, you don't have to say anything.

Oh boy its getting old. Diggity that whole post was just pure hating and u dont even know it haha. Floyd's walking weight is around 147-150. Thats been known. He doesnt blow up like Canelo & Chavez Jr on fight night. He fights in his right division. He doesnt try to fight in lower weight classes to beat up little people lol. Yall can keep saying this guy and that guy will or wouldve beat Floyd but last I looked he is undefeated and until and if he ever loses yall comments dont mean jack! Get over it. Got Em!!

Floyd did the same thing to Shane Mosley...walked him down to begin the fight...Canelo Alvarez looked kinda uncomfortable with that scenario...and for Canelo to say Floyd's punches were light...he sure looked hesitant after getting popped with that straight right...not till the later part of the fight did Canelo resign himself to going balls out and started pushing forward. The BIGGEST problem was "The Feet didn't Match the Paint"...no footwork compared to Floyd's.
